  • Of Course, Trump Droned Suleimani Because of Impeachment

    From the Wall Street Journal:
Mr. Trump, after the strike, told associates he was under pressure to deal with Gen. Soleimani from GOP senators he views as important supporters in his coming impeachment trial in the Senate.

For those Trumpistas and various cult members who hold onto the illusion that Trump is playing some kind of metaphysical Bingo beyond mortal ken, no. No he's not. You might have picked up on that when he gave three different reasons over the last few days for ordering the strike. But of course, now the truth starts leaking out and it's what we all knew in the first place: It was an impulsive reaction fueled by his fury over impeachment.

So, I guess we should believe that Trump would never use the power of the presidency to extort personal favors from a foreign leader, but it appears he sure as hell will risk starting a war to cover his own ass.

It all makes sense now. We've had tabs on Suleimani for years. Why now? That's why. Like I keep saying: With Trump, everything is personal. Narcissists globalize that whatever effects them, effects the whole world. What is important to them is important to the entire globe. Not the right mentality to put in power.

For Don Capone, life is nothing more than a succession of quid pro quo.

It never made any sense that they hit Suleimani because he was making plans to attack our embassy. In the first place, the embassy had already been attacked, by various factions including Iraqis. Just by whacking him, you don't stop any planned attacks. The attacks go on whether or not the leader is dead. If you know there are going to be attacks, you shore up the defense of the embassies. This, Trump did not do until the attacks were underway, which basically tells you the US didn't know they were coming.

Next week, Pelosi sends the articles of impeachment to the Senate. Who will Trump bomb then?

Trump couldn't even definitively bring himself to say that four embassies were under threat. He said just "I believe", the same way he says he believes in windmill cancer and that climate change is a Chinese hoax, aka Crazytown. And as Roh pointed out above, taking out Soleimani wouldn't end any of their plans, anyway. They've already replaced him. The new guy is named Salami (and no, I'm not making that up lol).

This WSJ story also brings up another uncomfortable question: Did some GOP Senators demand a quid pro quo on this - You take out Suleimani and we back you on impeachment? Kind of sounds like what they're implying.

Maybe Bolton will backpedal his criticisms since QS was assassinated.

This is a good example of fake news. No surprise Ro would fall for it.

Why fake? Because Trump had nothing to gain here at home by killing the Iranian general - and everything to lose. Remember, Trump campaigned on a platform of ending the crazy foreign wars. Why would he risk starting one? As everyone on planet earth knows, the US is not prepared for another big war. The American people are tired of war. They want an end. Trump risked breaking his campaign promise -- by targeting Suleimani. He risked losing credibility with many Trump supporters who want an end to the wars.

No. Trump did it because Israel pushed for it. Suleimani was at the top of the Israeli hit list - and given that Trump is surrounded by hard line Zionists - this scenario fits. I read that Pompeo - who is a Christian Zionist - pushed hard for the hit.

Americans need to face reality. The deep state drove Trump into the arms of the Zionists - when they cooked up Russia-gate. So we can thank the deep state (Bernays called it the "invisible state".) for this latest mess.

Israel has been pushing for war with Iran since around 1993 -- soon after the US de-fanged Saddam in the first Gulf War. After which, no one, including Israel, viewed Iraq as a threat. From the Israeli standpoint, the priority shifted to Iran.

Israel's number one enemy has been Iran, ever since. Netanyahu wants Iran destroyed - to the last drop of American blood.

I have seen no evidence Trump was on the verge of losing GOP support in the Senate. Which is the premise of this failed thread.
