  • the Hong Kong protests - the real story

Once again, the western press has lied to us about what is really happening in Hong Kong. They have promoted the idea that Beijing is responsible for the problems there, but this is not true. The root problem is the same as in so many other places...extreme wealth inequality... Hong Kong Unmasked | Exclusive Report

    https://youtu.be/0CUgy-Hzyfo

And if you knee jerk because RT posted this analysis...you need to ask: why has the western press failed to post anything similar? Where is the in depth coverage in the West of what is happening on the streets in Hong Kong? It's non existent for a reason: to keep you and I ignorant about the real story.

Any news coming out of Russia is state controlled. You expect us to believe Putin? Although, quite honestly, what Trump and Faux are doing is pretty damn close to state controlled media as well.

THE video analysis I posted above is light years better than any of the **** in the US pressstitute media about Hong Kong. Why are the protesters waving US flags in the streets of Hong Kong? Why is the local labor union opposing the so called protests? Why have Ukrainian Nazis been flown in to Hong Kong to support what is happening?

This is just another color revolution....this time intended to destabilize China at a critical moment in the trade talks between the US and Beijing.

The Communist Chinese government is not the culprit here. The real issue -- as the video correctly states -- is the vast disparity of wealth in Hong Kong...and the fact that the poorest 20% have absolutely no hope of a better life.

You need to learn the history of British colonialism...which is not taught in our schools...and this video is a good starting point. I don't care who produced it.

gawk and many others in here do not understand how far down things have slipped in the US over the last 60 years. They have not lived long enough to have perspective.

They are news junkies. All they know, their world reality, is what they saw today on CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, or ABC....

And the more they watch US tv the more brainwashed they become. The US media is akin to the Nazi or Stalinist state propaganda systems...Yet it is much more effective as a brainwashing tool than either of them...

            Orwell predicted this...

Is there a lie from a totalitarian state you won’t believe?

It is an interesting vid and probably does make valid points about the income disparity issue and such in HK being a major factor. Your acceptance of the other points in the video , such as the reason the protests started were not due to valid concerns of the PRC accusing people of crimes so they could be extradited to mainland china are where the lie is.

The law was intended to allow the HK authorities to accede to any supposed request for extradition from any other nation, without an extradition treaty, to be addressed. There were no guarantees against bogus charges being filed to obtain custody of anyone , and the fact that China has done so many times without any real evidence of actual crimes is why there was such a huge counter protest. The response of the HK authorities in simply cancelling the attempt and not passing a law guaranteeing the right of any accused to fight the extradition was also likely a sham attempt to quell the rioting.

That the situation has deteriorated even further with violence between supporters of the HK authorities and the protesters is not surprising. And political interference on the part of China, the US ( and the Russians) to intercede is definitely not helping.

As far as the UK history of Opium trade and interference in other nations during the colonial period....good coverage of history and unintended consequences. BUT....
The PRC agreed to the terms of the compact with Britain as to how HK was to be run when they signed the accord. Trying to change it now is par for the course. None of the major state actors in this are innocent.

The only totalitarian state in history to let its citizens call it that. So leave. Also the first totalitarian state to let its citizens just leave.

Good luck saying that China is totalitarian if you're Chinese.

You stupid moron. Either make an intelligent comment or get the F*** off my thread.

Orwell called it correctly. The US is a rogue state bent on world domination. That's the reality, like it or not.
