      • Donald Trump Has Broken the Constitution

The President-Elect is a figure out of authoritarian politics, not the American tradition

...Donald Trump ran on a platform of relentless, thoroughgoing rejection of the Constitution itself, and its underlying principle of democratic self-government and individual rights. True, he never endorsed quartering of troops in private homes in time of peace, but aside from that there is hardly a provision of the Bill of Rights or later amendments he did not explicitly promise to override, from First Amendment freedom of the press and of religion to Fourth Amendment freedom from “unreasonable searches and seizures” to Sixth Amendment right to counsel to Fourteenth Amendment birthright citizenship and Equal Protection and Fifteenth Amendment voting rights.

Ivanka Trump gets initial approval from China for 16 new trademarks—including for 'voting machines'

President Donald Trump's daughter and senior advisor, Ivanka Trump, last month won initial approval from the Chinese government for 16 new trademarks, covering a wide range of products that include "voting machines."

The approval for Ivanka Trump's trademarks — which comes three months after she said her personal clothing brand was shutting down — occurred "while her father continues to wage a trade war with China," noted the public interest group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, which first reported the approval.

              • Everyday, Trump squats and defecates on the emoluments clause of the Constitution. Of course, now that the Senate has become his personal guard dog, it's not like there is really anybody (or anything) left who can do anything about it. The press is already whimpering in its doghouse - not much bark left there. Trump is bringing all the little dogs to heel.

                • Taxpayers shelled out another $3.4 million to send President Donald Trump to Florida this weekend so he could host a Super Bowl party for paying guests at his for-profit golf course.

The president’s official schedule shows him spending two and a half hours Sunday evening at a “Super Bowl LIV watch party” at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach. Tickets sold for $75 each, but were only available to members of the club — the initiation fee for which reportedly runs about $450,000, with annual dues costing several thousands of dollars more.

So far, Trump's golf expenditures exceed $130 million.

                    • Trump’s company charges the Secret Service for rooms agents use while protecting him at his luxury properties — billing American taxpayers $650 per night at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club, and $17,000 a month at Trump’s National Golf Club Bedminster (an unusually high rent for homes in that area). Trump’s company even bills the government for days when Trump isn't there.

This is the most corrupt, self-dealing president in American history -- worse than Warren G. Harding.

But wouldn't be giving free rooms to law enforcement be a form of bribery?

You're going out of your way to LOOK for things you can bitch about.

Oh you mean the one thrown out that you insist wasn't thrown out while on this thread you're angry he's not doing questionable things like providing free services to law enforcement?

He could always stay exclusively at hotels he doesn't happen to own. That would solve everything, right?
