Forget what an idiot he is for a second, and think just about the way he talks. The FORM, not the content. He sounds kinda John Wayne-ish ... a tough guy, always with threats and ultimatums, taunts and insults his enemies.

WHAT he's says is hopelessly uninformed, dishonest, inaccurate and childish. But THE WAY HE SAYS IT sounds like music to their ears. It's human nature for citizens and employees and family members to see themselves reflected in their leaders and their bosses, so when those leaders are tough and strong, THEY feel tough and strong. The actual policies and shortcomings pales in importance. As long as their wallets are okay, they'd follow him to hell and back.
I think most definitely there are some who gravitate towards what you said there. But to be quite honest, in the uber-partisan days we live in, there could be a soft spoken weasel (like McConnell) as the Republican POTUS, that lied as much as Trump, was corrupt and a total scumbag like Trump, and they would still love him.

That is just partisan pablum, nothing more.

Do you realize that the other six signatory nations on that deal have reaffirmed it in the wake of Trumps nonsensical decision to exit us from it? A decision very likely motivated by his personal animus toword Obama.

And sure, Iran is a bad actor most of the time. They do lots of things wrong, but violating the terms of that agreement is not one of them. The United Nations, the International atomic energy commission and all the nations involved agree - they've been in compliance since day one.

Oh, and the plane loads of cash? It was THEIR MONEY!

But, but, PW is a *Democrat*. Who happens to believe all the dotard narratives. And excuses Faux from poisonous partisanship.

          Yeah, sure.

Concern trolls are so ****ing obvious.

TJ has lost it and this place has gone anarchic. We see how well that's working.

Dude, this board has suckled dogballs for several years now. It ain't new. Tacoland John trying to impersonate Beto O'Rourke by using his old pen name is a new twist, I'll give him that.

            • Well, it might be devious, but I don't have a problem with it. It's his message board, so as long as he's not hurting anybody or victimizing anybody, what's the harm?

The standard Taco John identity had become a real lightning rod around here. But this guy - this Paisley Pirate - he's pretty low key. He just adds his two cents

TJ let it go into the sewer. Really proves that his anarchic Randroidian Utopia is really a dystopia.

He's not hurting anyone, but a "do as I say - not as I do" reading of his own "one account per person" rule is definitely not a good look for him.

Top priority for @realDonaldTrump — having an IRS lawyer in place that will keep his tax returns under wraps. Corrupt.

Have to disagree, his actual policies (muslim ban, child separation abuse, removing/refusing LGBQ protections, tariffs etc.) of using government to abuse those that they hate (minorities, women, muslims, LGBQ) also keeps them enthused and supportive even if it hurts their pockets because it will hurt "them" more in the long run.

The machinery of corruption grinds on and nobody notices until the curtain comes down.

The number of anonymous tipsters reporting wrongdoing from inside the federal government has spiked during the Trump presidency, the House Oversight Committee says.

Not really. Not compared to any rough corollary anywhere else.

I think the bare possibility of managing a sane forum on the net is getting further and further away in general. But there's nothing especially bad about this one. Although the broken iggy feature is starting to get old.
