Thorium-Fueled Automobile Engine Needs Refueling Once a Century
Those little bitty tires probably don't last too long
Just like anything else, it's a concept car. Don't expect EVERY little facet to make it to production (or to make it to production at all). Most likely it's just marketing to let the world know what they're capable of.
Very cool, and all the more reason to be putting a lot of R&D effort into EVs.
A thorium-turbine engine, which is designed to produce electricity not direct mechanical energy, is a lot closer to a drop in replacement for an EV battery than a ICE powered car.
