Hue Jackson and John Fox make coaching debuts for their teams.

102nd meeting. Raiders lead series 58-41-2. Broncos haven't beaten Oakland at home since a 23-20 overtime victory on Sept. 16, 2007. Denver has lost three straight overall in the series and five of the past seven, a skid that was preceded by an 8-1 record in the Broncos' favor from Sept. 22, 2003 to Sept. 16, 2007.

Denver is expected to start three rookies in the opening game SLB Von Miller, FS Rahim Moore and RT Orlando Franklin, representing the top three picks in the Broncos' April draft.

It will be the first time since DE Barney Chavous, LB Tom Jackson and DB Calvin Jones suited up in the 1973 opener that such a group of neophytes will be entrusted in the starting lineup.

The Raiders have lost 11 straight prime-time games since Nov. 28, 2004, when they defeated the Broncos 25-54 on a Sunday night in Denver.

BY THE NUMBERS: .637 The Broncos (32-18-1) trail only Dallas (34-16-1, .677) for the top opening-game record in league history. Denver's percentage is bolstered by a 23-6-1 mark in home openers. The franchise is 5-0 on kickoff weekend against the Raiders, with four of those victories coming in the Mile High City.

"Everyone in the building understands what that rivalry is"- John Fox

"We're excited. Preseason, practice, really all the way around we liked the additions we made to this offense. We like our tight ends. We like our backs. And I think the receiving corps is playing really good football so we'll see how it happens on Monday"- Kyle Orton

"I think this is the best (test). The Raiders...they love to run the football. They have Darren McFadden, they have Michael Bush, but they also have an electric rookie coming off the bench. It'll be a testament to what we've been working on." Joe Mays

"It should get you hyped. It should get you hyped"-Brian Dawkins

The veterans on the team talk about how they killed us last year, But this is a new year, we've got a new coach, new players and hopefully it'll be different this year. -Von Miller

Old school MNF opening, kind of cheesy with the 96 elections. Great game though!

Actually I exaggerated. I had trouble getting to sleep because of my anxiousness to see the Broncos kick off the season. Hope springs eternal, especially right before opening kickoff.

I will be there with my son. This is my 50th season. Started going in 1962 as my Dad bought individual game tickets. Then in 1963 we got season tickets. I didn't miss a game until 1984 when my son was born. That makes it special when we can now go together like my dad and I did.

I learned early on to hate the Raiders.
