Default Miller and Doom's Combined Sacks

How many combined sacks will Von and Elvis have this year?

After what I've seen so far from both of them, I don't think 25 is outside the realm of possibility.

It really depends. How often can our defense force passing downs? We play a LOT of good running teams this year. If we can get teams into passing situations, then 25 would be a disappointment to me.

Von 15

I wouldn't mind Doom getting lower sack totals if it means he improved his overall game.

I say 25

20-25 is a reasonable estimate.

20 would be very good.

I'm expecting 15, all things considered, but they certainly have the ability to post up 25

I'll say Doom has 12 and Miller gets 7.

15-25 seems a decent guess, as long as neither misses significant time. Doom will get the lion's share.

25 sacks from two players would be a disappointment I don't see any way that is a disappointing season. In fact, that would put us up around 45 as a team and in the top 10. They get 25 sacks combined and somebody is winning rookie of the year honors... that or Doom is breaking a record, either way I'm a happy camper!

Btw, my guess would be 28... 15.5 for Doom and 12.5 for Von.

Wouldn't be surprised.

Quite frankly I think people have both too high and the wrong expectations for Von Miller. He's going to do a LOT of different things while people are judging him solely as a pass rush specialist... He'll probably only really rush 50% of passing plays.

I think a VERY good rookie year outing for him would be:

100-ish tackles, 2 INTs, 6 sacks

Talented enough for more, yes, but that's an extremely good year for a rookie player.

I think he'll rush on closer to 75% of passing plays. If he gets to 100 tackles I will be super pleased. I am thinking closer to 80 tackles, 12.5 sacks and 1 INT. Hopefully about 12-15 of those tackles are for losses.

The only thing that concerns me is how many opportunities he will have on obvious passing downs. We are going to face 1st down runs of 5+ yards a lot I'm afraid.

I'll take 24. 14 for Doom, 10 for Von. This is fun, we should post our predictions for next week's game too.

Are you attention whore ? There was a similar thread few weeks back.

If a new guy on the block starts new thread, whole mane goes gaga.. but a guy keeps creating similar threads.. there a bunch of folks happy to tag along. I now see how most of them have over 10K posts here.

Thomas had ten his rookie year. If Von is as fast as they say he is then I think the 20-25 range is a good guess.
