Demaryius Thomas suffers broken finger
By Mike Klis< The Denver Post< Demaryius Thomas is mending nicely from his Achilles injury. It’s just now the Broncos’ first-round receiver must also recover from a broken finger in his left hand. Thomas had just returned to practice Monday after missing all of training camp and the preseason to recover from surgery in February to repair a torn Achilles. He got through practice without setback on Monday, Wednesday and most of Thursday until he ran a curl route against cornerback Champ Bailey. The pass got on Thomas quickly and he suffered what he thought was a jammed finger. Thomas finished the practice Thursday but tests Friday revealed a break in the finger. He did not practice Friday or today. His latest injury is not a huge concern because Thomas was not going to play in the first two or three regular-season games, anyway, as he worked his way back into football shape. He will be able to continue rehabbing his Achilles while he simultaneously heals from his finger injury. The bigger concern about Thomas’ broken finger is it’s been one thing after another since the Broncos made the former Georgia Tech star the No. 22 overall pick in the 2010 draft. Thomas suffered a broken bone in his foot while working out for last year’s combine and the injury caused him to much of his rookie preseason and the season opener at Jacksonville. He also missed five late-season games with an ankle injury. |

Well, if he finished practice it sounds like it shouldn't be much of a setback.

h, am I the only one who thinks that if this slows his return a little bit it's not necessarily a bad thing? Achilles tear is nothing to mess with. |

Broken finger shouldn't be too big of a setback. Still, the guy seems to be made of glass. Hopefully, he's just experiencing a bad streak with injuries and can stay heathly long enough to live up to his tremendous potential.

It's not like he had ANY sort of injury history going into the draft. |

In the flying world we would call him a hanger queen. You see some of the most beautiful planes in the world but they never make it out of the hangar due to being busted or the owner can't afford to fly them. So that's my new moniker for him, hangar queen.

Check broken finger off the list. I'm actually curious to see what's next!
