http://tecmobowl.org/2011/09/07/rele...per-bowl-2012/

Happy 20th birthday, Tecmo Super Bowl!

What’s changed

•All 32 teams
•Current day rosters (sorry David Garrard)
•Passing Accuracy now does something (this means original game John Elway realllllly sucked)
•Updated Graphics
•Ability to change the quarter length

and if you need an emulator to play the game on choose nestopia (I favor it)

http://emulator-zone.com/doc.php/nes/

and instead of using the keyboard, but one of these CHEAP microsoft sidewinders controllers

http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Side...501867&sr=8-38

enjoy folks!

and FYI that Oakland Raider secondary is HIGHLY overated in this version of Tecmo..Tyvon Branch already picked off Orton on my first pass of the season.

thank you sir! Honestly, if you are in my age range(28-38) and can find the time to play it, it is pretty damn satisfying and will bring back an awful lot of great memories from playing Tecmo with your friends. and it's FREE I still despise Dennis Gentry (my Best friend growing up was a CHI fan) as that guy scored a KR TD once every game it seemed in the original Tecmo Bowl. Once Denver got Bobby humphrey in super tecmothen the games got a WHOLE lot more interesting.

I'm honestly not sure. I have downloaded the emulator (game system) and roms (game itself) to a PC only. Sorry

The thing that pissed me off about Tecmo Bowl (honestly has to rank top 5 all-time for sports games) is that when you played by yourself, you always played left to right. Whenever we played head-to-head, we always had to fight over who had to play controller 2, and they were always at a serious disadvantage.

Great game, though. I'm probably one of just about everyone else who played the game that had an undefeated season with every single team. Even though you could only play one season, the replayability of that game, before the invention of customizable rosters, roster downloads, and franchise mode, was off the charts.

Loved Tecmo Bowl.

Hopefully with the proprietary contract with EA Sports gone, there will be more competition and Madden will stop sucking.

I think only if he was in EXCELLENT condition. There were a few players that you could count on to blow right through the defense, leaving nothing but crumpled heaps shaking their heads. Okoye was one, and I think Barry Word was as well, which made KC's rushing attack just as potent as Oakland's, IMO. I think a few of the others that you could do that with were Brad Muster, Craig Heyward, Reggie Cobb and...Michael Haddix??

Also found this article http://fourhorsementattoo.com/2008/0...mo-super-bowl/ about the 12 most underrated players in Tecmo Super Bowl, which included this hilarious excerpt from #6:

"6. Bobby Humphrey, RB Broncos

You don’t hear many people bragging that they scored 11 touchdowns in one game with Bobby Humphrey. That’s because they’ve never tried. Running behind the Bronc’s above average offensive line, Humphrey can get loose quite easily with his 69 rushing power, and 63 maximum speed.

*Nothing drops panties in a bar quicker than:

YOU: ”Hey Babe. Did you know I once rushed for 857 yards and 11 touchdowns in one game with Bobby Humphrey on Tecmo Super Bowl?”

HER: “I WANT YOU!!!!! Every other creep uses that line with Bo Jackson or Barry Sanders, like it’s some accomplishment………..Why don’t we go back to my place, and I’ll tell you about the time I recorded 17 sacks with Bill Pickel.”"
