Decker suffered a Lisfranc (foot) fracture his senior year at the University of Minnesota, or he might've been as high as a first-round pick in the 2010 draft. As it was, Decker lasted until the third round and was essentially "redshirted" his rookie season. Now healthy...

Julius Thomas, TE, Broncos
Thomas is an inheritor of the redefinition Antonio Gates has given the tight end position. Another former basketball player without tons of football experience, Thomas is part of an ultra-crowded depth chart in Denver, where Daniel Fells, Dante Rosario, Virgil Green and Dan Gronkowski are also around. Fells might be the favorite to start Week 1, but Thomas is more intriguing...

In a standard league... thinking about grabbing Decker off waivers if he starts producing more than Royal (which I think is very possible).

Yeah it's not a bad list. Decker and J. Thomas are definitely the two I'd pick, although with D. Thomas not making the PUP list he's gotta start creeping into your thoughts somewhere.

If we're talking 10 man benches and 14 team leagues maybe. You just can't afford a guy like that just yet.

Plus you look at Denver as a running team, I'd put more value on Julius Thomas for sure.

Yeah definitely. These guys aren't valuable to pick up and stash on your bench, but they are definitely important enough to keep an eye on. I don't know how many leagues I've won where I had a crap draft and won because of who I picked up.

I personally draft better than I scout.

But yeah, Favre won me a league a few years back. DeAngelo Williams came off waivers (He got dropped after his first 4 ****ty games and Stewart looked like the Primary back lol)

Prater is about the only player I'd select from the Broncos if I was running a fantasy team. Maybe throw in DJ if you're running individual defensive players, but that's about it (I don't include Lloyd because I think he's going to be drafted waaaaay higher than he should this year).

I drafted Decker in a 12 teamer where Royal went undrafted. I will definitely be keeping an eye on Demaryius. Can you imagine if he breaks out?!

Julius Thomas won rookie of the year in Madden for me. This means he will be a stud IRL.

In a ten team league with only 6 bench slots I cant take a chance on these guys yet but I am keeping an eye on them

Lloyd has been going pretty low IMO, like 6th to 8th rounds.

Me too, in fact most of my winning chamiponships have been from rebuilds during the season..

Oh, and as far as the Broncos fantasy players go...Moreno/McGahee are decent options if taken under the right circumstances. For example, I took Moreno as my 4th RB in a PPR league. That's a pretty good 4th RB option if you ask me.

After being the #1 WR in FF last year, anything outside the top ten is pretty damn low.

I also took Moreno as my fourth back in a PPR league, and I took Lloyd as my first WR in the fourth round.

Well as far as fantasy football goes, there are plenty of factors that go into ADP besides the previous year's performance (and remember, Lloyd was only the #1 WR depending on your scoring format - he was 3rd/2nd/2nd in my 3 leagues that I referenced. Pretty damn good still.

There's a reason why AJ, CJ, Fitz, White, Wayne, etc. are drafted in the top 5 at their position year after year. They are 1) supreme athletes in 2) above average to fantastic offenses with 3) coaches/QB's that feed them the ball year after year. Lloyd qualifies for maybe one of these (A). Lloyd, while finishing as around the #2 fantasy WR last year, has NOT proven that he can do it again, year after year. Denver's passing offense will take a step back with Fox as the new HC instead of McDaniels. I fully expect the rush O to improve while the pass O regresses (as far as Fantasy stats go).

Hell, what about Bowe? He finished 2nd/4th/3rd in my leagues last year. Yet he is being drafted around the same position as Lloyd (just a tad sooner on average). Again, people view him as a one-year fluke type of thing. If it happens again (either to Lloyd or Bowe) this year, then yeah, they'll be top-10 receivers next year. But not yet. FF high ADP requires consistency.

I look at it the opposite......In our O'mane 10 man league, I was perfectly happy with my entire draft and took a flier on DT in the 13th so I don't have to worry about the waiver when and if he shows anything.

In deeper leagues (12-16), every pick has to count IMO and would much rather fill every spot with someone who has a chance of seeing the field out of the gate.
