I'm not really amused the way Fox has handled the QB situation.
It seems to me he has not been truly in charge of the decision making, or doesn't feel confident enough to make a move he feels good about. Unfortunately, this is the result of the media hype surrounding Tebow for the longest time.

First, he said he wouldn't officially name the back-up QB until after the last pre-season game. It appears to me the competition was too close to call that he needed that game to decide. Well, Tebow clearly emerged the winner of that contest, it's fair to say.

I just think that had Quinn outplayed Tebow that he would've had Quinn clearly as the back-up to Orton.

This is just my opinion, your mileage may vary...

I'm guessing the QBs KNOW who will be #2.

There was an article on this last week in the DP. Fox said he would most likely NOT say who the back-up was before the game, as it was a game planning issue.

Our opponents would work on different packages depending on the one named #2. (Personally, I don't think the raiders will study Quinn much or use any diff packages for him, but..).

Or maybe he's just tired of the press screwing with his qb's heads and is giving them a big FU and not giving them the chance to do it again.
