Default This is how repubs create jobs

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011...og-regulation/

Bowing to the demands of House Republicans and some business leaders, President Obama is backing off a controversial proposed regulation tightening government smog standards.

In a statement Friday, Obama said he had ordered Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lisa Jackson to withdraw the proposal, in part because of the importance of reducing regulatory burdens and uncertainty for businesses at a time of rampant uncertainty about an unsteady economy.

The announcement came shortly after a new government report on private sector employment report showed that businesses essentially added no new jobs last month -- and that the jobless rate remained stuck at a historically high 9.1 percent.

The withdrawal of the proposed EPA rule comes two days after the White House, at the request of House Speaker John Boehner, identified seven such regulations that it said would cost private business at least $1 billion each. The proposed smog standard was estimated to cost anywhere between $19 billion and $90 billion, depending on how strict it would be.

People say repubs doing nothing but have to understand they don't have the white house. Everything is a fight with Obama. On this one repubs asked Obama to identify the regulations they created that will cost a billion or more. This was on top of the list. With a dem controlled Congress the EPA would be free to implement these changes.

What does this tell us?

1- That Obama will do whatever it takes to get re-elected, even going against things he believes in.

2- That we need at least a repub Congress to counter the crazy regs this administration would like to saddle us with.

You need look no further then calif to how liberals can destroy the economy by using regulations and entitlements.

Good job Boehner! Now go after some more and at least get Obama to swing way right to win again. If Obama does win these little victories will be very important going into the last 4 yrs.

Now would be a great time to pass the economy-strangling Cap & Tax, right Obama?

If the massive turnover in Nov. 2010 didn't happen, Cap & Tax would have been next in line to follow up Obamacare and we would have never had a debate over the debt.

Here's a good example of why our country is ****ed on employment:

Amazon’s Kindle 2 couldn’t be made in the U.S., even if Amazon wanted to:

- The flex circuit connectors are made in China because the US supplier base migrated to Asia.
- The electrophoretic display is made in Taiwan because the expertise developed from producting flat-panel LCDs migrated to Asia with semiconductor manufacturing.
- The highly polished injection-molded case is made in China because the U.S. supplier base eroded as the manufacture of toys, consumer electronics and computers migrated to China.
- The wireless card is made in South Korea because that country became a center for making mobile phone components and handsets.
- The controller board is made in China because U.S. companies long ago transferred manufacture of printed circuit boards to Asia.
- The Lithium polymer battery is made in China because battery development and manufacturing migrated to China along with the development and manufacture of consumer electronics and notebook computers.

and frankly, this is how "good business" has created a national security problem, because there was no real government watching this transfer.
