Time to put your money where you mouth is. No poll here. Post what you think the Broncos record will be and why.
I'm starting with a 7-9 result. I don't believe in Kyle Orton. I think the pass rush will make this respectable, but our second string unit is almost completely worthless. I like what I see in Tebow and Quinn, but the second string corners and lines look horrific. The only way we make a winning record is if we somehow avoid the injury bug. Even the second string receivers looked very poor tonight. It wasn't until Tebow got in there with the third string that the receivers looked decent at all. Don't get me wrong. I think that the team is on the right path. Josh McDaniel's left this team decimated outside of the QB position. It will take another draft for this team to return to form. |

5-11, the lack of depth is going to kill this team as the season moves on and injuries mount.

9-7 kc was a fluke and oak will find a way to screw up whatever they had going for them last year. Our D is for REAL and will punish QB's including that woman rivers and that little girl cassy in kc.

I think 5-11 is on the low end. Im not going to freak out about "lack of depth" because of this performance. 1) it was one game, 2) this isn't hockey, there aren't lines that can be exposed. As you know, football is like dominos, when one thing goes wrong, the rest can suffer. Putting some of our second stringers in with our first probably will make those guys stronger and not the other way around.

Mark me down for 9-7... although this is the hardest year to pick ever. I think this is a 10-6 team when healthy, and maybe 11-5. If everything goes right in that department we're a playoff team.
However, outside of a handful of positions we're in terrible shape depth-wise. Maybe we can lose a corner, and probably a safety. If either Miller or Doom go down we're done. If any of our starting offensive line goes down, we're done. We can lose a tight-end and probably a receiver (but not two). If Rahim Moore goes down I think we'll be in really bad shape. 5-11 if injuries mount. 11-5 if we stay healthy so I'll go with 9-7. Last edited by enjolras; 09-02-2011 at 12:02 AM.. |

5-11 is about right. with some luck, maybe 6-10. but probably not.
Von & Doom need to both make it through the season healthy for us to have any kind of pass rush. if one or both of them go down, we're screwed. |

While I think our starting lineup is capable of keeping us competitive and possibly even making a run at the division, the depth on this team is absolutely atrocious. Unfortunately, injuries are inevitable in this game and they are going to hurt us more than most teams. |

8-8.
Lack of depth is going to hurt the team late. 10-6 if the injury bug decides to park its hillbilly ass somewhere else but 8-8 seems more realistic. ![]() |

I'll be bold. I say 10 and 6 possible 11 and 5 with a good playoff run as well. I think this Defense is going to be incredible as long as we don't get a injury bug going around. I think with Elvis back, our other up grades and coaches this year we have a pass rush and this will elevate the rest of our D.
If you watched the game tonight our D looked like **** not because they were all newbies it was because we did not have a pass rush. Point being Elvis Ayers and Von are going to be a force to be reckoned with. If our Offense can put up 21 points a game which they should with an improved D then I say 11-5. OAK @ DEN - Win CIN @ DEN - Win DEN @ TEN - WIN DEN @ GB - Loss SD @ DEN - Win DEN @ MIA - WIN DET @ DEN -WIN DEN @ OAK -WIN DEN @ KC - WIN NYJ @ DEN - Loss DEN @ SD - Loss DEN @ MIN LOSS CHI @ DEN - WIN NE @ DEN - Loss DEN @ BUF - Win KC @ DEN - Win Last edited by Quoydogs; 09-02-2011 at 12:22 AM.. |

I also think that Denver will win games they have no business winning. The team lacks depth, which should be fixed with time. This season will greatly depend on the health of the starters. They should produce, but they need to stay healthy. ![]() |

I also don't get the losses to KC and Oakland. They are both going back to suck land this year. Tenn. Chris Johnson got paid.. One way trip to 80 percent of your potential. Who is there qb now Hasselbeck ?? |

We do not win many games in the state of Florida. I expect Denver to split with KC, Oak and SD. I expect inconsistency game to game. Denver will win games they should not (vs NYJ, Chi) they will lose games they shouldnt (like @ Tenn or vs NE). If I thought Denver would be consistent, I would have gone with 10 or 11 wins. ![]() |
