It has been 10 years since the McGahee knee injury at Miami, yet announcers still bring it up....

im 100% convinced he can't see. He does a lot of college ball and he never knows what the hell is going on. Another reason I can't wait for the preseason to be over

Those guys were all world compared to the announcers for the Dallas game. At least they acknowledged that there was another team on the field.

now that i'm used to these two after a couple of pre-season games, i like them.

they (Verne/Alfred) are clearly having a lot of fun in the booth and i'd take their commentary over most of the CBS sports announcers we get stuck with during the regular season... and they are miles ahead of the little sh*ts who are right out of school who think mimicking Bob Costas is what they should aspire to.

i know, i dangled a preposition. so sue me.

I think Alfred is great. He's infectious and his football knowledge is off the charts.

Verne is a mess

Verne Lundquist is a legend but I agree he's giving a C performance, I think he's sort of mailing this in probably for the paycheck but I'll take Lundquist at a C any day of the week over KCNC's amateur hour with Gary Miller and Vic Lomdouchbag.

I had to listen to the Seattle commentators, made me sad.

One of them said D. Thomas was out there... I assume he was wrong!?

I'm rewatching it. Just into the 2nd quarter, he said Decker was Moreno, we traded Jabar Gaffney for Willis McGahee and McGahee was Moreno.

Actually he's a freaking legend.

He's a little old and he made a few glaring mistakes.
That said like Enberg in his advanced years I was still happy to hear him call a game.

He's kinda getting to the stage that Summerall was at when he put himself out to pasture. Brutal, to be sure.
