Rubbish article with no insight whatsoever. Regurgitation of the spend like mad to win now viewpoint. The broncos are not winning a superbowl this year and there is no offseason we could have had that would have changed that. It is a 3 year plan to get us back to contention. WE don't have DTs of the level we would like because the value was not there. EFX drafted and ran free agency for value.

Oh Christ, I wasn't making any excuses or pretending that we don't need DTs. SoCal: I made a thread for Franklin and would have been delighted with Mebane. 'bigbucks24': There's nothing to really discount. The 'article' (it's a blog post) might as well have been titled 'My Disappointed Offseason Recap'.

Forgive me, Moops. It's cool that you're writing about the Broncos and I'm not trying to be an a-hole. Maybe I'm just annoyed by my agreement with some of the front office decisions in your writeup. Maybe I'm just sick of the b****ing and whining and was hoping that since the FA period and all its accompanying reactions were weeks ago we wouldn't have to go through the same old complaints all over again when talking DL.

I read the first line of the article and stopped because it said: "Broncos have no one to blame but themselves." Oh really? I thought we could blame the Raiders! Or God or something. Who the f---- did they think we were blaming? Of course they can't blame anyone but themselves, we didn't turn over free agency and drafting to another team.

The same griping and complaining will continue and should continue until the BBT actually starts showing the fans that they're interested in fielding a winning team.

This team has won one playoff game since 1998. We're 13 years out. It has been 5 years since the team has been in playoff contention.

Its time for these people to put up.

Great polarizing views of the article!

The reason I said Broncos have no one to blame but themselves is I've read a few articles that stated that it was "bad luck" that the Broncos had injuries at DT and that it was too bad since it was the weakest part of their defense.

My contention is that despite DT being one of their top needs, the Broncos took a very casual approach to filling this need. NO draft picks, just 2 undrafted free agent signings followed by some suspect free agent signings when they definitely had the MONEY to sign an impact DT.

Again, thanks for all your opinions.
