2011 Orange Mane Fantasy Football League - The Orange Mane

OA lot of people have been asking about the OM Fantasy Football League. I would like to do it again if there is enough interest still. Prizes would be similar to last year and assuming we have a lot of returning players, we could divide the leagues in similar fashion. Please respond with your interest. Returning players will have first priority.

For those that are unfamiliar with the league. There are two conferences. Each Conference is divided into three divisions with four teams in each division. The two conferences (each with 12 teams) has the entire pool of NFL players from which to select. The Championship game is between the two conference champions and they could possibly have the same players going up against each other. Last year, the OM Champion decided that he would bench Calvin Johnson (I think it was him) as we both had him. He gambled on another WR outscoring CJ... and it worked for him! Anyhow, the amount of teams should not dissuade you from participating. Their are weekly prizes, side games (Pick'em and Survivor) and several other prize opportunities.

This year we have a couple of volunteers to help customize the site more to our liking. I think most of the kinks were worked out last year as the season went along, but we certainly look forward to anyone that may be able to help with customizing, etc.

The league is Co-Commissioned by Apaops and Me. We also have requested two league delegates that will act as delegates should Nick or I be involved in a trade or any other event that may require Commissioner approval. One league delegate has already been selected, we well select the second in the coming weeks and announce both when that decision is final.

Prizes and Leaguesite. The league is currently hosted at MyFantasyLeague.com. I realize the site has its drawbacks, but the system allows for an extreme amount of customization including of course the ability to host two separate conferences.

Prizes are maintained on leaguesafe which provides a safe and effective method for tracking.

We tend to leave the buy in up to the final group to decide the buy in. So we can create a league that best matches everyone's desired financial commitment as best possible.
