We really need another QB on this team. Yep that would totally help us right now...

I thought Mallet was the best Qb coming into the draft I don't know how guys like ponder, dalton, and kapernick went ahead of him

Well that's all I needed. I wasn't sure at first, but now that you've weighed in your opinion, I CAN'T BELIEVE those guys went ahead of him. It's too bad NFL teams don't have you evaluating talent. Their loss.

I also recall there being concerns that he isn't very smart or mature.

It's more that. He's Cutler part 2. He has all the tools, but he makes some AWFUL decisions.

He has all the tools to fit in Belli/Brady's offense.. but who else can protect Qbs like that?

That's why he is a 3rd round pick. Some sucker will trade for him thinking they can do it too though.

Just watch him in the big 3 games last year: Alabama, Auburn and Ohio State. He lost them all 3 games with idiotic decisions and game-endng INT's

Historically the odds of him being any good are pretty low. Granted he is in his own individual situation and not at all influenced by the past but teams just don't go from a Montana to Young or a Favre to Rodgers very often.

Very true. Fortunately for him and NE he has a long time to develop his skills. Brady's going to play another 3 or 4 years most likely.
