I'm not going to get my hopes up again. I thought we would sign Okoye for sure.

He's 6'6 and 286 LB's...he's going to need to add so much weight to be the type of DT we need.

He was a DE throughout college at Arkansas. A highly productive DE. Not sure what the problem was at Atlanta, but he was a bust.

I also just read that Tulloch's deal with the Lions was 1/$3.25mm.

2nd in the league in tackles last year and a position of need and we couldn't get something done with him? This sucks!

Lofa may get even less though, so we have that!

Oh and Jamaal Anderson, we would welcome your 5 career sacks if you were a DT. For now though, wouldn't you rather play for a contender? In other words, just cancel the trip!

I was high on Anderson when he came out....of course, I loved Okoye too....problem with both of them-they went to different teams, so I have no idea how good they played in the NFL. I have heard so many conflicting reports!

Okoye was actually decent. Houston just went 3-4 though so that's why he's gone. Anderson...he's been dog **** since he arrived. He's the Jarvis Moss of Atlanta, only he got consistent playing time here unlike Jarvis.

To put it this way. Beal had a better college carreer than Anderson. Jamaal just made hype because he had 11 sacks as a Junior and was that prototypical 6'6 280 range that people love at DE (think Mario Williams).

Anderson recorded 17.5 quarterback sacks in his time at Arkansas, with those sacks going for minus 128 yards. He also recorded 130 tackles, with 84 solos. He had 32 stops for losses of 167 yards. He had 35 quarterback pressures, 8 pass deflections, 2 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 20 starts. Anderson chose to forgo his senior season at Arkansas, and entered the NFL Draft.

Isn't this guy going to be too much money for little production? Would rather have had Okoye.

He was a bust drafted in the first round a few years ago. He'll probably sign with the Bears a la Okoye and Gholston.

Let me get this straight.....were going to offer each free agent 25% of what their worth and never sign anyone. I have a feeling they are doing this to satisfy the fan base and are not really serious about signing any. Its really disappointing as a fan!

He's incapable of generating pass rush against people he can't physically dominate. Its a classic case of terrifically gifted athlete never learns fundamentals or technique, then has to face off against NFL caliber OTs who are bigger, stronger, and far more technically capable than he is.

I've lost alot of respect for Klis. It's clear at this point that he's carrying water for the old man. HTF can he keep writing objectively absurd statements like this? It's like Drek said....he's basically sucking the team's dick in exchange for information at this point.
