It sounds like you're complaining that the Broncos haven't signed a free agent yet... no one is allowed to sign free agents yet.

Right, but lets not ignore the obvious for the sake of an irrelevant discussion of technicalities.

honest question:

unless the broncos over spend, why should free agents want to play in Denver?

And yet many teams have agreed in terms to signing. Just because we can't sign until Friday doesn't mean we shouldn't have several prospects lined up. Other teams are making tracks. We haven't done crap yet, it's annoying me. Are they so fixated on the QB situation, they are ignoring other needs? Get something done! Don't wait until only the bottom feeders remain.

And yes.. we need to overspend to get a few quality players. You suggest a nasty cycle where we never sign anyone of note, because we are not willing to shell out the $$$. And unless we do, no one will want to play here. See how that works?

They're massive skiing enthusiasts?

Maybe we net a white guy or two? Get a sweet discount on punters?

Between hiring McDumbass and now John Fox....Bowlen doesn't appear to be the sharpest tool in the shed. His legacy is tarnished.

i am not too worried. there are going to be a lot of guys hitting the open market in the next few days that are surprise cuts. we may miss out on Cofield, Mebane and Jenkins, but there will still be decent talent available to add to the DL

Damn I see a lot of overreaction in this thread.

but its OM I am not surprised

I think the front office has their eye on some guys they can bring in for cheap, theres still a lot of quality FAs out there.

Also don't forget we have the 2nd waiver claim

Does anybody know the minimum that we have to spend to meet the cap floor? I'm just saying that we all talk about not spending or over spending and the thing is....we have to meet the requirement one way or another. Fox and co. have said that a DT and RB have been a priority so lets just believe in them. I've wanted Mebane and Franklin for a while. Just like everybody else, but let the FO do their job.

We have a QB we have to trade and no movement, yet we see pretty much every other QB situation ironing themselves out. Its now Miami or bust.

We have literally nothing at DT, nobody drafted, nobody signed (agreed to terms with), no trades in the offing, nothing.

We are a 4-12 team that is showing an irrational level of patience to addressing either of these glaring areas of concern.

we don't get the players on the field until the 4th anyway and Orton needs to be moved before we can make any BIG BIG moves.
