Default OT: colorado in late november?

some friends of ours have a timeshere somewhere along the front range over the week of Thanksgiving. My question: is it worth flying out to Colorado that time? My fear is that the slopes won't be open yet, but at the same time, it will be too cold to enjoy the outdoors.

Thoughts?

November the wether here starts to get a little crispy, especially in the mountains.
a place like Arapahoe Basin, Steamboat Springs can be pretty cold.
what part of the mountains are you planning on staying?
Winter Park is one of my favorite places.
You will get a lot of good advice from the most outdoor folks here...

It'll either be shorts and tees weather or jeans and jacket, or both, the same day

The average daytime low is like 25 and normal high is like 50 in some mountain areas (not Craig or Silverton). Its like 30 and 56 in Denver/Boulder. Two years ago there were several 60 degree days in Glenwood Springs and 70 in Denver area.

Boulder had a record high of like 77 in January once. Also a record low of -22 in 2006.

Its Colorado man, you cannot predict the weather even in late November.
