And with the lockout now over Vickerson and Ayers were two of the Broncos players who reported Tuesday morning to the team's Dove Valley complex. And both of them are hoping the team's new scheme reminds them of better days.

"It's more familiar ground to what I'm used to," Ayers said. "I definitely feel like this philosophy will allow me to go out and make plays. No discredit to the last philosophy, they're two different things, but I'm excited."

"I might be the most excited person on this team ... it's going to allow me to do the things that I'm good at, things that I'm most familiar with," Ayers said.

He'll get at least 3-4 Pro Bowls, no problem.

I still expect Ayers to be a solid if not spectacular player for us. Anything more is just a bonus!

Pretty much. I certainly have less concern about LE than I do about many other positions on our team.

In all seriousness, I love that these kinds of fluff pieces are starting up! They're typical of training camp; and that means we're just weeks away from real football!

There can't be a worse sign than when player prays for a scheme change to help them produce. True players at least have the attitude they can do it no matter what the circumstance.

i can see that happening. if we can get 2 decent to good level DT in FA then Doom and Von can probably hit the 20 sacks between them mark, and if the defense is improved the other 9 guys can come up with another 10 throughout the season
