Feel bad for him but it was obvious we would be moving forward without him

So we have a very thin list especially if Buckhalter is released. Better have a plan that brings someone else in that is comparable to Bucky and I have a feeling it will be an Ex-Panther. Jeremiah Johnson can skin rabbits, kill ingins and build log cabins but can he run?

He's a solid back, and can step right in and even start. Other than that I don't see anyone else of his caliber that could fit that role; being either a legit 1 or 2 in the depth chart |

Yeah, we pretty much have a pile of colon logs in the backfield.

I think Broncos will look at Maghee as well as Williams.

Does anybody really care about this all that much?
I just assumed the guy would either be released due to salary or just break down and get injured again. |

Realistic RB Depth Chart
1(A) -- Knowshon Moreno 1(B) -- TBD (Free Agent: Williams, McGahee, Barber III, Bush) Back-Up: Lance Ball -- as he is a Studesville guy. I'd guess Mario Fannin will be our young rookie rusher who gets looks. Can't see Johnson or Minor being better options than Fannin at this point. Moreno, FA, Ball and Fannin. Bank on it. |

We already got more out of Buckhalter than I ever expected, which really wasnt much to begin with. Our RB core is just something else that has gotten worse the last couple of years. Might as well take a flyer on Tiki Barber since he wants to make a come back. Not sold that Deangelo is worth the money it will take.

TD, I thought the idea was we needed more of a scat back type. Not sure what Barber has in the tank, but that is more of the mold that Denver is missing in the backfield, plus he would likely come cheap. Considering some of the guys we have taken a flyer on over the years, why not?

I didn't like him when he was just known as a fumbler before he had a couple of good season and all that stuff after he retired just added to my dislike. But I just don't like him and would hate to see him in a Broncos uni , nothing more really. |

As far as the off the field stuff, I would take his story line over any number of former or current Broncos. |

Candidates that wouldn't shock me:
Orton - $8.8 mil (Traded to Arizona, Minnesota or Miami possibly) Hill - $2.4 mil (Cut, no longer needed w/Moore, Carter, McBath and Bruton) Gaffney - $2.4 mil (Traded - maybe to StL or back to NE?) Goodman - $2.9 mil (If they target another CB in FA) Haggan - $1.93 mil (Unlikely but could look to go younger/cheaper w/reserve LBs) Paxton - $865k (Not sure if Fox keeps a LS) Cox - $405k (Obvious reasons) |
