Default Aug 2nd deadline so little-O can party Aug 3rd

Feb 2, 2011 http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/...7118FT20110202
(Reuters) - The United States will hit a $14.3 trillion statutory limit on its debt slightly later than previously estimated... Treasury officials said the limit would now be hit between April 5 and May 31, versus a previous estimate of end-March to mid-May. ...
Mar 1, 2011 http://thehill.com/blogs/on-the-mone...it-by-april-15
(The Hill) - Lawmakers will have a few more days to scuffle over the statutory debt limit, as the Treasury Department now expects to hit the $14.3 trillion ceiling between April 15 and May 31. At the beginning of February, the department had pegged "D-Day" to be somewhere between April 5 and May 31. But thanks to new financial numbers, the department has pushed back the deadline by several days...
Apr 27, 2011 http://money.cnn.com/2011/04/27/news...ying/index.htm
(CNN) - The Treasury estimates U.S. borrowing will hit the debt ceiling by May 16. ...there are steps the department can take to stave off the day of reckoning. But Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, in a letter to Congress on April 4, said such measures could only buy roughly eight weeks -- which would be sometime in the first part of July. ...
May 9, 2011 http://articles.latimes.com/2011/may...-vote-20110509
(LA Times) - A top Democrat in the Senate said Monday that Congress should pass a debt-ceiling increase no later than... July 15 rather than push the debate until Aug. 2, which is the deadline set by the Treasury Department...

Why is a big deal being made about the Aug 2nd deadline when
all others have come and gone w/o a hitch, just like this one will?

July 14, 2011 http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_1...61-503544.html
(CBS News) - President Obama is slated to celebrate his 50th birthday with a major fundraiser at Chicago's historic Aragon Ballroom on August 3... Tickets to the fundraiser, slated to take the day before the president's August 4 birthday, are reportedly going for between $50 each to $35,800 for a pair. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, it will feature a star-studded VIP "birthday concert" -- possibly featuring Jennifer Hudson -- as well as dinner with the president...

Little-O's own words on the Aug 2nd 'deadline' - "Don't call my bluff."

This new deadline will come and go, just like all the others before it, but making a deal prior to his 50th Birthday fundraiser is very important to him, which is why the financially arbitrary date of Aug 2nd was selected. He's been a lame duck for years, but the inability to raise the debt ceiling for 6mos past due shows he has no control over Congressional decisions and the ability to steal from the people any longer to enrich his financial supporters.

The degree to which he's trumpeted the importance of signing a deal before this fundraiser is also like a boy crying wolf too many times and increasingly louder - making him even less credible. Though I think he already lost all credibility long ago, so this isn't as big a deal as losing his financial backing. But if he wants to start shutting down the Federal Government in a futile attempt to save face at the expense of America, going to this fundraiser will look even worse to the American people, while cancelling it is a hit to what he considers most important of all - the money which he sold out the Office of Prez and America too.

Of course, he can always sign a spending reduction bill that can pass the House before Aug 2nd, but than loses what little support he has left from the Demo-machine that put him in office and arranges the money flow.

Oh, now that quote is about the actual deadline? cutthemdown's stupid ass told us it was about something else entirely.

Sounds like you boys need to get with Rupert and get your talking points right for the next week.

Hey Boomhauer, how's your theory showing that CO2 has nothing to do with climate change working for you? Got any more evidence?

The multitude of reports (NYTimes, HuffPo, BusinessWeek, anywhere you look) pointing out there's no chance of any default or rationing until maybe Aug 10 are all a few weeks old now and, as Geithner has repeatedly shown, the "default deadline" keeps on moving back the closer it gets. It's like a fear-carrot so suckers will goosestep.

Analysis now has the deadline moving back to August 15
Wednesday July 27, 2011 - http://www.moneynews.com/FinanceNews...7/27/id/404960
"Wrightson and Jefferies expect the United States would start defaulting on its obligations on Aug. 15, the date the government must pay out $41 billion, including around $30 billion in interest on U.S. debt. Barclays Capital has [previously] said Treasury may run out of cash to pay its bills around Aug. 10, when $8.5 billion in Social Security payments are due."

Sounds like you bches should contact HuffPo and ask them why they pointed out the Aug 2 deadline is false.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/0..._n_907480.html - July 22 (2days before OP)

Picky, picky. I went with a source a) lefties can't outright dismiss for political slant in addition to b) the earlier financial source, but if you want one with c) journalistic integrity too for the trifecta;
You OK with the US News and World Report - Is Obama Overplaying the Aug. 2 Debt Ceiling Deadline?

July 27 - http://www.usnews.com/opinion/articl...iling-deadline "...many major banks are a little dubious of the administration’s claims about the seriousness of raising the debt ceiling, or at least of its Aug. 2 deadline. Wall Street analysts at Stone & McCarthy Research Associates, Wells Fargo, Barclay's Capital, and UBS report that even if a deal is not passed by Aug. 2, it will be days, if not weeks, until the United States defaults on its loans. They estimate that “wiggle room” may in fact exist which could push the deadline back to anywhere between Aug. 8 to Aug. 15, or even later.

If "you ****ing drama queens ... when will you ****s grow up?" is meant at whoever disagrees with little-O, along with your drama queen/adolescent language, it seems pretty clear you're an idiotic hypocrite and partisan pursedog -aka-
But who didn't know that already? Really, anyone?
