He has been very responsive on twitter so far. He only has 576 followers, so show him some love. He is trying to get verified. He chats with other Broncos who are verified on a regular basis, he is legit. Just a heads up. He has been really, really cool about answering questions.

This is a big year for Ayers. If he does not show much, he will be gone and will not get many chances by other teams either. So if he wants to be an NFL player, his future rests pretty much on this season.

Dawkins, Beadles, Julius Thomas, Virgil Green, Ryan Harris, Brandon Lloyd, and Wesley Woodyard have also been pretty good about responding, from my experience.

My apologies if no one finds this information useful. I love being able to have a connection to my team that I would not otherwise have, so I thought I would share in case anyone else feels the same. lol I was about to post the exact same thing
to expand on that...

Dude was first team all SEC with only 4 sacks his senior year
he was not much of a sack guy in college, and is not going to ever be a high sack guy in the pros

Blame McDaniels for drafting a power run stuffing end and moving him to OLB, but to just look at his sack numbers and conclude "he sucks" is ignorant and short sighted

With that said, he can improve in that area, and I think the move to end where more emphasis will be placed on attacking and getting upfield will help him

I would say before he broke his foot he was prolly our best front seven player, at worst tied with DJ

If you count running into the OT and not making an effort to get off the block and push the pocket or disrupt the play in anyway then you are right.

He consistently sealed the edge and brought power to the run game. I never said he was a Pro Bowler, I said he was one of Denver's best defensive players prior to getting injured. And he was.

As has been posted, he's not a pass rusher and was predicted from the beginning to have some developing to do. Of course he's disappointed so far, but calling him a bust this early is ignorant.

Gonna have to agree with you on this one, our defense especially our run defense became much worse (if that was even possible) once Ayers was out. We went from abysmal to holy crap do we make the raiders look good.
