Default Camp opens July 28th (tentative)

whos reporting at camp this year?

http://blogs.denverpost.com/broncos/...-july-28/7818/

Quote:
If there is a new CBA next week, the tentative plan is for the free agency/trade period to open July 25 for veterans with four years of service. There may be a couple-day window prior to July 25 for teams to sign undrafted rookies.

The Broncos are tentatively scheduled to open Camp Fox _ the teamís first training camp under the direction of new head coach John Fox _ on Thursday, July 28. Players would officially report on July 27. Those dates may be adjusted by a day or two depending on procedures and rules the league wonít announce until there is a new CBA. But if all goes well with the CBA negotiations next week, Bronco fans can pencil in July 28 for the first practice that would be open to the public.

I had been planning to make it this year since I missed it last year, but there simply isn't enough time to give proper notice for vacation time, since our calendar is made three weeks in advance (and I would have needed to request it at least another week prior to that).

****ing lockout ruined it.

I hope so -- I quite enjoyed their reports last year, and found them to be the most reliable and insightful, especially in hindsight.

So weird...

Discussing training camp in a real way, rather than an abstract way. Almost expecting a surprise buttseks moment...

Is it safe?

Yeah mon, I've never been to Dove Valley. Google maps says it's a 29 minute drive though.

It should be interesting this year. The coaches will no longer be able to have 2 a days in pads. Wow. That somewhat limits them.

Say, that you're doing a terrible job of tackling....

Lot's of shorts and shirts.

im not sure that 2 a days full pads increases football ability as it is...id rather have one great session than 1 good one and 1 mediocre one. perfect practice makes perfect.

That 2 a day thing was mainly to whip into shape the NFL player of yesteryear that came to camp out of shape. Todays athlete works out year round and 2 a days are not necessary and lead to injury. Looks like the NFL is up dating it self to be more in line with todays players. So far I like all the changes.

Good to be talking football again

I promise to not make anymore non football threads on the main board until next off season.
