The Treasury has warned that by Aug. 2 it will be unable to pay all the government's bills. Some budget analysts have pointed out that there is more than enough money coming into the Treasury to pay the interest on existing debt. But without authority to borrow more money, the government would have to stop paying some of its bills.

No it's just to illustrate how you can never be sure if Obama means what he says, or is making something up. he's a typical Chicago style politician. He was against any military intervention as a Senator, now its ok. He said raising Debt limit is a sign leadership has failed, now not doing it tantamount to financial armegeddon. I also think that is BS, he knows the treasury will pay the bills. It will be funny if debt limit deal doesn't happen, and moodys doesn't downgrade.
