Default Brokeback Backpack

So, I have a buddy at work that I go backpacking with and we had a blast this past weekend.

On the way home were talking about our next trip coming up.

He said it sounded like I didn't want go, I snapped back at him but didn't mean too.

Like I was angry about it but sometimes I dont think before I speak, next day at work he doesn't even say a word to me like I'm not even there.

I apologized to him, but it seems like he's pretty pissed.

Think he gets over it or doesn't want anything tdo with me?

Most humans use verbal interaction as the most helpful tool in this setting. But not me... I use telepathy followed by symbolic gestures (like a dead fish in a newspaper / bullet proof vest combo) in the event of telepathic failure.

This is what women do. Maybe you should cup check your friend to make sure you are dealing with the appropriate gender. If your friend is actually female, this is normal behavior and you will never be totally forgiven.

Lol, maybe he thinks I'm a negative person and doesn't want to be around me? Guess we'll see...

at first I was wondering whether this was a romantic thing (not that there's anything wrong with that)

but now, its kind of like, ummmmm....who cares?

would you rather hang out with him and wonder about your 'energy level?' or your amount of negativity?

****, when me and my friends hang out we are completely negatitive because thats the time we get it out

Straight people are so odd. Anyhoo...

1. I've seen this movie. Mambo Italiano...

2. Im guessing this guy is at the very most a best friend, very least just a friend? Either way give it a few days, then talk to him about it or go grab a beer or something.

If I didnt know any better it sounds like you two are dating. No offense meant.

You should be able to just say sorry I am an a-hole sometimes but I dig backpacking with you. Let's go smoke one and throw down a beer. Problem solved. If that doesn't work not much you can do. I would be surprised though if anyone held a grudge over that. by him a canteen or something and make up. Maybe some snake repellant, something.

Im starting to think "buddy from work" is a euphemism for surprise buttseks.

I stick with my original advice, however. Give him a few days to calm the f down, then hug it out. Nude, if you prefer that. No judgements.

Walk by quietly, and without a word, initiate the following.

Pat him on the butt and tell him "good game".

Use the baseball open-hand bro butt slap technique. No cupping. Be sure not to make eye contact. Adjust the boxers, hack up a lugie, and spit in the nearest trash can nonchalantly. All in stride, and with an aire of indifferent spontenaiety.

In some circles that's code for "meet me in the break room in 10 minutes."

Or so I have heard...
