Default ATV

Hey Everyone,

Got a quick question for discussion. I'm looking to get an ATV, I'm a college student still so it would have to be cheaper. I've ridden my whole life but have never really been too knowledgeable on them. I'm looking for advice on what are some good used ATV's out there.

Anything helps!

I've heard good things about four wheelers.

Went riding this weekend, I drive a 650 cc utility 4 wheel drive. I saw to guys get stupid and pay the price on the 2 wheel drive racing bikes, I think they were 450's. Depends on what kind of riding you are going to do.

The Polaris 4x4 rangers are the coolest atvs on the market IMO.

That I have not heard good things about.

As a peace offering, I'll offer my son's four wheeler. It's pretty big for him so it might fit you, has a tool box on the back, and a winch on the front. The shifter got a little chewed on by my dog but still works just fine. Pretty sure it's Powerwheel but it might be an off brand. What do ya say, accept?

The Polaris models are awesome, but my advice is always, always wear your seatbelt. My son flipped one while taking a "quick ride" in an open field and crushed his ankle/foot with the roll bar. If it had rolled on his head (at 1300 lbs) he would have been in serious trouble.

I still love the Polaris and also ride four wheelers, but you just can't take safety for granted. The Polaris is awesome, just wear your seatbelt.

those things will kill you...... get a 250 2 stroke moto for about 1200 and call it a day. You would have a blast.

I've got a Honda 400ex, bought it used in excellent condition a couple summers ago, rode it a few times, now I need to sell it b/c I don't ride it and it's just taking up space
