Default Hoods in the House

Open, and Revolting, Anti-Obama Racism at Fox

This is psychologically fascinating: The mind of Fox Business host Eric Bolling, when confronted with images of President Obama meeting with Gabon's president, Ali Bongo, instantly recalls other black people who have met with President Obama, and comes to the conclusion that Obama feels deep love for black "hoodlums." Watch this video and you'll see what I mean:

Let us put aside the fact that Common, the "hood" who was visiting Obama's "hizzhouse," is really not much of a hood, comparatively speaking. And let us put aside the fact that Gabon's president, while a disreputable person, was visiting the White House not only in his capacity as president of his country but because Gabon currently holds the rotating presidency of the U.N. Security Council. Bolling sees images of two black people who are entirely unrelated to each other and draws the conclusion that our black president adores all black people, in particular black people Bolling believes are miscreants.

Bolling, and his Fox supervisors, may not be aware of this, but there are many independent nations in Africa, and the United States has diplomatic relations with nearly all of them. Very often, the leaders of these independent nations will visit Washington in order to meet with our president. Ali Bongo's father, the late Omar Bongo, actually visited Washington and met with President Ronald Reagan, who had this to say after their bilateral meeting: "President El Hadj Omar Bongo has been a very welcome guest at the White House. This has been a long-awaited visit that has given us a chance to return the generous hospitality President Bongo personally accorded to so many representatives of this and earlier administrations."

He went on, "For 20 years President Bongo has led his country in an era of stability and progress. Under his leadership, Gabon has consistently encouraged the peaceful settlement of regional disputes, siding with reason, dialog, and moderation over bloodshed, war, and terror. Recognizing this, the Organization of African Unity asked President Bongo to help find a solution to the conflict in Chad."

Ronald Reagan: What a gangsta!

Fox Business host apologizes for using ‘language interpreted’ as racist: ‘We did go a bit too far’
By Dylan Stableford
Tue Jun 14, 11:29 am ET

Eric Bolling, host of the Fox Business Network show "Follow the Money," apologized to viewers on Monday for using racist language during a segment that aired last week.

"We got a little fast and loose with the language," Bolling said, "and we know it's being interpreted as disrespectful, and for that I'm sorry."

In a segment that aired on Friday, Bolling referred to the White House as the "Hizzouse" and "Hizzy," and President Obama's guests--including Gabon President Ali Bongo--as "hoods."

"We did go a bit too far," Bolling admitted.

Plus by using the language you skip the real issue if this leader is worthy of a meet and greet photo op with the most powerful man in the world. So what rap star or jazz icon is performing at the Obamas next house party?

Racism is an overt act or policy, or way of treating a persons, that deprives them of civil rights. You know it was blocking blacks from education, money, jobs etc. All that a black President means is that racism doesn't work well anymore, that it can't really stop you. Certainly no one thinks prejudice will every go away. Too many people though dont understand the different between saying I think blacks leave there kids too much, and I'm not hiring that guy because hes black. You can have stereotypes and prejudices and still not be a racist. To be a racist you have to actually do acts that are designed to thwart the happiness or advancement of another group. IMO.

you got it backwards.

racism is equating that people have certain traits that are dependant on their race.that because someone is black they are hoods as in this case.

racial discrimination is depriving them of rights.

Just because a black president was elected in no way represents that racism doesn't work well.

In 8 years, George W Bush never had a houseguest. Not ever.

Same with Clinton.

Bush the first? Not a single guest in four years.

But Obama... he has house parties! Rabble rabble rabble!

Hang on a sec. Garcia is going to be along any minute to tell us that $6 M is nothing to get excited about, but a house party is. Can't wait for the great debate!

I thought Clinton, Bush and every President has some guests. Clinton let people say in lincoln bedroom right? Nothing wrong with it IMO it's part of the perqs of the job right? Now if they let in people who don't deserve that honor, and it happens over and over it would bother me. I can't say if Obama has because honestly I haven't looked into it at all. I do know that a photo op with the President is big for your power back at home, so it should be done with some foresight.

It for sure means that in many regards racial discrimination has lost its teeth. Too many blacks are huge in pretty much every single job in the country. Docs, lawyers, presidents, ceo's, stars etc etc. In todays world racism simply doesn't achieve its goals anymore. It's an old way of thinking that most people just ignore now days. Also IMO you confuse stereotypes with racism, which imo are not the same thing.
