Default Big snake

Went on a over nighter last weekend in the bush, came across a few snakes along the way.

But this guy wouldn't move, right in the middle of the trail.

Whats worse is that when you stop, you get attacked by a million bugs.

He was sunning in the middle of the trail, we seen him up about forty feet ahead.

They do that sometimes, standing their ground and wont move till you move them or go around them.

But the trail that far in is pretty narrow, I've used my back pack as a sheild before.

And they wont strike even at that, I guess they dont see things like that as a threat.

And no, we didn't hurt him a bit, we moved him off the trail very carefully.

I have a fear of snakes. As much as I love hiking and the outdoors, once I come across a rattlesnake sunning itself on the trail and taking an alternate route isn't a viable option, that is the end of my hike. I wouldn't dare try to move it. So kudos to you

I hate snakes. If you showed a clip of you beating it to death with a stick I would have been more than ok with that.

You guys need to carry one of these when you go hiking, just clip it on to your pack strap or something.

I stepped on one last summer in the high desert and it still didn't strike, strange snakes.

I can't believe you people would play with a snake. I'd defiantly turn around and go home.

We were 2.5 miles in packed heavy for an overnight trip, no snake is stopping me.

Just show respect and move along.

Man, were you sleeping on the GROUND out there? You're a brave soul if so, a studlier man than me. I don't mind hiking in areas where there are rattlers and scorpions, but I won't sleep on the ground. I have to have a cot at least.

I sleep in a one man tent, leave the rain fly off and star gaze all night.
