Tonight was the midseason finale, did anyone who watched it think any of the following:
1. This was actually the series finale? 2. Matt and Trey are signaling the show has run its course and they'll finish out the season in the fall and be done with it? 3. Matt and Trey are just screwing with everyone and it'll come back like nothing ever happened in October? |

I think so. 15 seasons is a nice round number, they have a bunch of other things going on, and I believe their contract with comedy central ends at the end of this season.
As a southpark fan (and a broncos fan).. this makes me sad. |

I could see 2 or 3, but I don't see how they could get away with having that be the series finale.

enjoyed the hell out of this episode....the Landslide montage was at the same time cliched an poignant. It does feel like Trey and Matt might be starting to think about moving on

so if they have decided to move on, it is looking like it may be time anyway. |

South Park jumped the shark when they kick Chef off, it had never been the same since.

That would ****ing suck if it was! Even though a lot of the episodes suck anymore, every new episode is like opening a new Christmas present. It could be great!
Man I hope they are just screwing with us, but that one was metaphorical in that even they might start thinking their show is turning into s h i t. |

I thought the episode was great, and also there have been at least 3 really terrific episodes this season so i havent been all that disappointed.
Weird ending tho. I hope its not the last. |

I just read that there are 7 more episodes for season 15 to be completed this fall.

Just like every season, they do half the episodes in April/May/June and half in the fall.
I believe they're contracted with Comedy Central to do one more as well. |

Has anyone ever wondered if Matt and Trey are OrangeMane users?

Doubt it was the last episode and doubt it is the last season.
The show is still good, unlike the Simpsons which should have stopped after 9 seasons. |

I've never seen a show embrace jumping the shark quite like that..
Randy Marsh's soliloquy near the end was epic. Not funny at all, but epic all the same. |

15 is the last season they're under contract for...for now. And to the original post, I'd go with 3. This season, so far, has been **** though.

Just saw Book of Mormon a few weeks ago. If you can figure out a way to get to New York and get tickets, I can't recommend it highly enough. Easily one of the top 3 shows I've ever seen.

I'd be sad if they stopped, even if the quality has gone down. South Park is one of those things from my childhood that Ill always cherish.

Its still amazingly entertaining... most of the "Southpark has gone downhill" is just hipsterism.
