"Scientists fear that the 21st century warming is caused by climate change, stoked by a build-up of greenhouse gases from human activities. An acceleration of warming could cause a meltdown of the Greenland ice sheet, raising world sea levels."

Did they have this same problem in Greenland during their reign or was it the 1400s cold spell that did it in? Earth has cycles regardless of humans. As for Greenland, sucks to be sold on such a nice name and then almost have some snow year round. That was marketing before it became big business. SUCKERS!

How to get people to come settle...lets call it Greenland...and to make sure no one goes to the island between Greenland and Europe, lets call it Iceland. Heh heh.

Crazy vikings.

So...ice melts in greenland, it thickens in Antarctica. Life will go on regardless.

Wow that is some pretty in depth investigative reporting going on over at yahoo. Wonder if they will tackle the earth being round myth next?

I always thought they were named that way because they thought the other powers would leave a place called Iceland alone and that they didnt give a rip about Greenland and wanted them to focus there instead?
