Default NFL Hats - Trouble with size options?

Anyone else finding that as time has gone by it's harder to find NFL hats that fit you right? There used to be S, M, L, XL, etc, but for some reason they've now moved into S/M, L/XL and OSFA. Now I literally can't find ones that fit right.

This is at crisis level now thanks to my deceased beauty:

Anyone have any solutions to this? In a perfect world I'd LOVE to find more size options for this beauty:

I hate fitted hats, as it seems like I always fall right in between sizes and never find one that fits perfectly.

Exactly. With how big the league has gotten, I don't know why they've decided to reduce the fitting options while they increase the over all selection. If anything, they could just have a custom order size section

I always go with a smaller size and let it stretch/adjust to my head.

Don't they stretch out to fit?

Yes. That's why they don't make as many sizes. They have elastic construction and it doesn't have to be as close.

The one size fits all stretch to fit, doesnt work for me either 99% of the time. I got lucky on one Bronco hat, that over time the elasticity has gave, so now it fits me. I believe my head size is 7-5/8, and most the hats nowadays are the stretch. I always liked the adjustable so you can back it off one notch for the hot days, where you dont want the hat pressure around your head. Tighten it up a notch or two for windy days.

Get the one-size-fits-all with Velcro.

Could it be that your head swollen so much that no hat can fit your skull? Sorry rev but couldn't resist jacking the thread. To stay on topic I like fitted hats.

I've ordered a size L Red sox fitted cap. i had to return it. It didn't fit my big melon I guess.
I ended up ordering XL and it fit perfect. I thought it was going to be too big.
I normally order one-size fits all, but it just happened the style I liked was available only in fitted sizes

The best hat I have ever found was from the South Hills Mall in Bethel Park, PA. I bought a solid blue bronco cap with the logo in front. Size 7 and 3/4. Greatest hat ever. Its still in pretty good shape, too.

The stretch one size fits all doesnt feel right when I wear them. Too restricting. And velcro or snap backs get tangled in hair and it sucks.

I sort of stretched mine out with my hands, until I could hear the elastic sort of popping all up and down the band. Made it feel bigger. Feels good.

I like the flat bill hats mostly because I like to wear sunglasses, they seem to fit pretty well.

But most hats fit pretty good for me, I have some older ones that are in pretty good shape, after you break them in they are easier to wear.

I still wear the above hat, which I got in 2005 (from a random member of this site) and people here in Pittsburgh still comment on it. I also wore it last year in Vegas and got the same props for it, from random bartenders and gamblers everywhere! Random people gave me free drinks and picked up my tab ... can't beat that!
In my experience lately, the NFL is doing a ****ty job at catering to fans needs for sizes, and they have NO real interest in helping customers who follow their guides.

IMO - Best option: Do a google search on "Denver Broncos Throwback cap" and select "shopping" in the google menu. It will give you some options about local retailers who will (should) have it "on hand" so you can try it on.

I just get the fitted ones that come in the real sizes. Not s m etc etc, but 7, 7 1/4 1 1/2 and on and on etc etc.

i am in the same boat. either the OSFA hats seems very small and don't look right or feel right, and it is a b**** to find regular ffitted hats and even when you do the sizes are not perfect. you always end up needing a size right in between what is available.

I don't wear hats because my head is huge. Wish I could, cause I've got a couple of rad Broncos hats...

Always nice to meet a fellow gigantihead. I also wear a size 8. I don't even bother with baseball hats anymore. Lucky you can still find australian style hats in size 8.

This is totally me. I have a cranium the size of a basketball and hats rarely feel or look normal on my head.
