Games would be on Fox (Fox, FX, and the regional channels) and the ESPN networks.
http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/D...03/Pac-12.aspx Sports Business Daily says it's about $225M per year, which would be about $17.3M per school per year (12 schools + the conference gets a share). http://blogs.mercurynews.com/college...-deal-is-done/ Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News, who has been reporting on it for months, says he's hearing the figure could be closer to $250M. This might not include the rights to all games/all sports, the PAC XII still might try to create their own network as well. Last edited by Hercules Rockefeller; 05-03-2011 at 08:56 AM.. |

I'm afraid it's going to be a rough opening season in the PAC XII for the Buffs. Well, they say adversity just makes you tougher. Embree and crew are going to face some adversity this year. I look forward to them pulling off some upsets and drawing attention to the program.

Here's my favorite line from that report: Comcast is not involved.

NYT says it's about $3B over 12 years, which would be $250M per year. $21M per school per year if that figure is correct, which would be before any revenue a future PAC XII Network may generate. Last edited by Hercules Rockefeller; 05-03-2011 at 08:55 AM.. |

It'll be interesting to see if we get much of this where I live. I get at least 3 SEC games a week, just by having local channels and espn. Through in USC and the Buffs once in awhile. I won't even miss the NFL

CU made about $9M or $10M in total conference revenue (TV $$$$ + bowl payouts) last year with the Big XII. They'll now make $20+M from just the TV contract.

I just hope some of the money goes to the football program.
