Blessings and wishes for a safe and productive flight to the members of the flight team both on the shuttle and managing it from the Cape.

I still cannot believe traditional US manned space flight is coming to a close after all the advances of the past and at a time when the pioneers are at ages where they may quickly pass on leaving the future generations to reinvent the past.

Godspeed to the crew of STS-134.

Godspeed to the crew. It was nice seeing Gifford boarding the plane yesterday to go watch her husband.

Oh, I missed that, I'm so excited about her being able to be there herself.

it seems a travesty that we have let our strategic national advantage of manned space exploration and operations atrophy to this point. Kennedy is turning in his grave. So, we have no manned launch capabilities until Space X or the next generation capsule arrives?
(unless DoD has some black manned stuff already in operation) Sheesh.

Dang, I just read that NASA has delayed the space shuttle launch due to a heater failure. Better safe than sorry, I hope they can resolve it soon.

Ok Per NASA TV:
"Endeavour Launch Scrubbed Shuttle Launch Director Mike Leinbach has scrubbed today's STS-134 launch attempt because of an issue associated with Auxiliary Power Unit 1 heaters. There will be at least a 72-hour scrub turnaround while engineers assess the issue."

NASA Television will air a news conference 4 p.m. EDT.

At least we're spending all that savings in money wisely with drones blowing up shiat up around the ME.

Problem is Nascar has been taking all the fun out of it the last couple decades with all their silly safety equipment and speed limiters.

the DoD project is the X-33 space plane, which in future varients will be manned.

Not sure where the Chinese are in their manned program, but I think they're pretty close to orbital capability.

Space X is going to work - probably 2 years out. Until then, we get to bum rides off the Russians.
