Happy Easter everyone.

What have fellow parents been up to?

Cliffs of my "evening so far"

Okay, so I've spent the past two ****ing hours doing Easter prep.

I had to wait like an hour after the little **** fell asleep (term used affectionately of course )

Then I hid eggs everywhere... like 100 eggs filled with candy. Even have one next to her head on her bed, lol.

Easter basket on her dresser

Then I'm thinking "Ahhhhhhhhhh done"

Well she wrote a letter to the easter bunny and it's one of the cutest things I've ever read but at the end she says "I hid a bunch of things around the house for you"

Now, I'm all FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

So I'm hunting around the house for another hour until I find them all.

At that point I eat the cookie she set out, some dibs in the freezer for him. Oh and she wanted a plate of carrots for him, but I said we'd set out mixed vegetables.

Then I only are the carrots out of the vegetables so she can be pissed at me tomorrow to keep the mystery alive.

And just finished writing her a letter back and my hand is all effing cramped from disguising my hand writing. Bottom of the letter I drew a star, circle and triangle and said "That's 'I Love You' in my language, Love E.B."

Bam. Successful parenting.

In b4 she wakes me up in 3 hours excited as hell.

That's actually really cool man. Exactly the kinds of things kids need, happy moments in life that, while they might not remember twenty years down the road, contributes to their happiness in the present.

Big high five to you sir, and it literally gets me excited for parenting someday. You're going to have a screaming happy child in the a.m.

I'm actually checking the Mane right now while I print out the treasure hunt letter. We're following the trail of coins to the easter basket. Z is going to be hopping happy tomorrow!

Nice work. Mine just turned two, so I'll be scattering a dozen plastic eggs with goldfish and animal crackers inside around the back yard tomorrow before he gets up. I'm excited for this getting more elaborate as he gets older.

Nice job, Rev. If more parents did things like that, this country wouldn't be as ****ed up as it is.

Happy Easter to all those who celebrate.

Happy Passover to others who celebrate.

And cheers all around.

We're in the middle of a three day tornado watch/warning storm so going outside wasn't happening. We hid eggs around the living room which amounted to about a 5 minute egg blitz.

The wife mentioned she was going to do a treasure hunt for the kid's basket and I suggested she leave little eggs with the pictures inside. What should the kid find during the egg blitz? An egg with his name and one with mine. I was still curled up in a ball on the couch and had get up to follow the path of zoomed up close, blurry pictures to find my easter basket 20 minutes later.

I hate you easter bunny.

We just did the girls baskets this morning... I say we, I watched while my wife loaded them up with goodies. Another year and the weather isn't cooperating for an outdoor hunt. Little cold and snowing. So we will improvise... Only problem is, one is sleeping downstairs on the sofa. One is sleeping downstairs in the office and one is upstairs in her bedroom. So that makes it a little tricky. Maybe I put them outside and bundle them up... Then next year they'll be like, I hope the Easter Bunny doesn't lose his damned mind again, lol.

Happy Easter everyone!

Good for you Rev! That's what makes these holidays fun, for us and the kids. Admit it, you enjoy it and with kids every holiday seems to have a OH FUUUU moment.

My wife forgot to grab the easter stuff when they took off to visit her parents so I had to take the goods to vegas with me for viva las vegas weekend (rockabilly festival). I always leavelate Saturday night to arrive in time. Well had to leave after jerry lee lewis played. Wife didn't want to put the basket. Making to be completed at 3pm. It was the least she could have done to interrupt my sat. Night in vegas. Now, you just found the better easter parent than reverand. Edit: 3AM

Only thing I'm celebrating today, greatest day of the year! Jesus is truly risen from the dead and restored our relationship to God through his atoning sacrifice.
