An article rebutting critics of the scene, making many of the same points some of you also made.

That was true...except she continually allows herself to be placed in situations where she can be exploited and abused. There comes a time when even a habitually beaten dog will snap and bite back.

The general weakness of Sansa does not make any damn sense to me. Her mother and father were not weak people, none of her siblings are weak people. could you see Sansa going to Bravos to find the faceless men? Could you see Sansa heading towards the Wall to get to Jon? For a Stark, she's lacking. At least at the moment. There has to be a payoff here. At least I hope there is one.

She's lacking in the books too (lacking in intelligence and courage). And come on, many people are very different from their family members.

^^ This. It's not like it was a surprise to her that this happened. She knew from the get go what she was in for. She's enduring it, not being a helpless victim.

It was a rape for the ages. Think Deliverance/Pulp Fiction. Last Tango in Paris also comes to mind.

Interesting theory here, regarding Euron Greyjoy. The video discusses pros & cons and ultimately comes down on the other side.

But, if it were true, it would be another explanation why the TV show might skip the whole Kingsmoot/Ironborn subplot in Season 5.

Yeah I stumbled across that theory this week too, there's a lot of people totally convinced that's what's up. My main arguments against it are: Euron has nightshade stained lips, and his smiling eye. Both are mentioned so many times that if they were so easy to disguise (and not just disguise, but become a total man hunk like Daario) it just doesn't make sense.

Does it address that in the video? Haven't had a chance to watch it yet :/

Can't recall. But I don't remember anything that said the purple lip stain was permanent, and, assuming he has a few weeks at sea between trips, it can wear off easily enough.

The only reference to the eye that I recall, are second-hand accounts from Theon, who would have been a child. Why would Euron wear an eye-patch if he didn't need one? Maybe this: http://mentalfloss.com/article/52493...ar-eye-patches And if you did suddenly lift your eye patch, wouldn't your pupil be dilated?

Hence, one blue eye, one black.

As far as "man-hunk" Daario is concerned, Euron is also described as attractive ... see video...

More interesting to me is the way this would help explain what otherwise seems like a completely hair-brained plot by the guy who's supposed to be the master of cunning. He's convinced, when he reveals his plan, that he can get the dragons and convince Dany to marry him.

This is a woman he's supposedly never met. And she's going to marry him because he steals one or more of her pets?

Unless he's got an ace in the hole - which is that he's already sized her up and seduced her.

And he'll be there, as Daario, when the Dragonhorn is blown.

Also, consider this.

We already know that the show is eliminating subplots and characters left and right. Among other things, no Coldhands, no Lady Stoneheart, apparently no John Connington....

No trace of Euron or Victarion thru season 5 and is Balon Greyjoy still alive? Shouldn't he have snuffed it a long time ago?

Could be that the whole Kingsmoot, including Victarion and Euron have been written out of the series. (In fact, they don't even need Victarion's ships now, since Daario has already seized the same number of ships.)

With Selmy dead, Grey Wurm severely injured, Strong Belwas written out of the show, and Jorah banished, Dany is down to one key advisor - Daario - who is really only lacking the dragonhorn to fulfill major parts of Euron's role.

Edit: well, that, a captive warlock or two (not a problem) and a few thousand bloodthirsty sailors to man the seized ships.

1. **** Theon
2. Ghost sighting! So cool
3. I think I'm in love with the Sand Snake
4. Bronn is saved! Hopefully it's not a trick
5. They have a lot of ground to cover in three episodes to make this season stand out

Tyrion already meets Dany? Sounds like they are speeding up and cutting out huge parts of the Mereen arc - which might not be such a bad thing.

It's desperately needed. This season needs a bit more forward momentum. Even though I love every episode I watch

Is anything good ever going to happen for the Starks or is their perpetual torment/destruction something that we need to accept?

At this point I'm just assuming things will get even worse.

I'm thinking Arya learns how to be the perfect assassin, goes to King's Landing and then trips getting off the boat and drowns.

! So True and Jon Snow gets frost bite and dies at the wall! Also, what happened to the two little Stark boys (the cripple one and the youngest) who people think Theon killed?
