I was blown away by the records up to then, but I was really gone after that show and have been a die-hard devotee ever since.

first time i saw them when was i was in HS - during the 'monster' tour - Radiohead opened up for them.... saw them in hershey, pa

I saw them twice in Rochester and three times in Buffalo....last time was the Green Tour. Opening acts were The 3 O'Clock, 10,000 Mainacs (twice), Throwing Muses & The Blue Aeroplanes. I've met Berry & Mills but didn't get any photos with them. I've always wanted to meet and converse with Peter Buck....seems like a really cool guy judging from the interviews I've seen with him over the years.

Hopefully he's got his drinkin under a little better control -

I am a mills fan - he thinks outside the box and has influenced me in my own music making.

Mr. Criminal is on a bunch of songs and it has a VERY west coast feel to it. all the beats to it sound like a classic west coast album...unfortunatly they all sound the same. I personally dont like the beats but i liked the way he rapped over em. just something to look at if you like that kind of stuff.

to me one of his best albums to date, he went back to his old form pretty much and the production is much better, still needs work tho, and those two were his major two fall backs in his past releases.

also I'm really enjoying a rock band called Raposo. They have a very good sound i think, and the singer can really SING

Turning and turning
Within the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer
Things fall apart
The center cannot hold
And a blood dimmed tide
Is loosed upon the world

Nothing is sacred
The ceremony sinks
Innocence is drowned
In anarchy
The best lack conviction
Given some time to think
And the worst are full of passion
Without mercy

Surely some revelation is at hand
Surely its the second coming
And the wrath has finally taken form
For what is this rough beast
Its hour come at last
Slouching towards bethlehem to be born
Slouching towards bethlehem to be born

Hoping and hoping
As if by my weak faith
The spirit of this world
Would heal and rise
Vast are the shadows
That straddle and strafe
And struggle in the darkness
Troubling my eyes

Shaped like a lion
It has the head of a man
With a gaze as blank
And pitiless as the sun
And its moving its slow thighs
Across the desert sands
Through dark indignant
Reeling falcons

Surely some revelation is at hand
Surely its the second coming
And the wrath has finally taken form
For what is this rough beast
Its hour come at last
Slouching towards bethlehem to be born
Slouching towards bethlehem to be born

Raging and raging
It rises from the deep
Opening its eyes
After twenty centuries
Vexed to a nightmare
Out of a stony sleep
By a rocking cradle
By the sea of galilee

Surely some revelation is at hand
Surely its the second coming
And the wrath has finally taken form
For what is this rough beast
Its hour come at last
Slouching towards bethlehem to be born
Slouching towards bethlehem to be born

No place left to hide
Fire and smoke on all sides
And you can't tell the sky
From the skeletons, anymore
But there's no time to wait to be saved
The wasteland will spread like the plague
And you'll wind up in somebody's cage
Without a door
Could've been me or you
But if the foot fits the shoe
It just might be a deadly dance

Paint your face
Pound your drum
But don't forget
To load your gun
Say your prayer
And drink your wine
But never let
Them see you cry

And so how will you know
When compromise offers no hope
Take a tip from that TV show
And head for the hills
Cause it's not like there's something to lose
It's only the truth
And it hasn't exactly been used
And it never will
This is not something strange
Don't expect it to change
And everything will be just fine
