Reed is great when he keeps his voice under control.....too often in his later work he raises his voice and it cracks painfully (too much damage done to it evidently) Some love that though...I've been in big debates about titles like Live In Italy a live album from the Collusieum where Reed tries to scream on every track. I basically got shouted down by the world on Amazon.com when I panned it because of that

I know....but I use it to keep my reviewing sharp from time to time. At least I'm honest with the stars I give on there. So many give everything they like 5 stars, that you just can't take any of it seriously at all.

hogan,

on the last dandy warhols cd - they have a song called 'smoke it' - dealing with the banning on smoking.

Wow, I will have to emphatically disagree with you on that one. That CD is great! Very well structured dance-rock tunes, particularly 'The Modern Way'. Lyrically, they kind of remind of The Kinks (late 60s early 70s version), and that's high praise. I'm not a big fan of that genre in general, with only Franz Ferdinand and Kaiser Cheifs getting any regular play in my rotation. Why didn't you like it? Just not a fan of that style?

Try those.
So, I have to admit...this is what I was asking for...but, I didn't go this route this time! I definitely will soon...as I typically like to have about 4-5 different types of running mixes on my IPod.

I decided to try some Techno/high energy Dance tunes! I like the fact that there is a double type of rhythm (ok...I'm not musically inclined except for the fact I know what I like to hear). I typically will set my pace to the beat and this music I ran to for the first time this morning was just INSANE. Something about this music that really does give me energy to keep on going!

Benny Benny Benassi and the Biz - Satisfaction
Crazy Frog - Get Ready for this
Benassi Bros - I love my sex
Eiffel 65 - Blue
Benny Benassi - Put your hands up

and some others....

Got better exposed to The Planet Smashers on this tour....great skapunk from Montreal....pretty good guys as well.

The biggest highlight of the two day Pietasters throwdown (other than the main men themselves) was The Tossers....an Irish drinking outfit not unlike Flogging Molly, that I had never heard before. Very cool stuff.
