OK, I just got back from the second greatest concert of my life (the first was sitting 3 feet behind Louie Bellison for an entire 2 hour concert....story another time).
LIQUID SOUL AT THE FOX THEATER! I don't care where you live, find out when they're coming to your area and GO! Absolutely un-****ing-believable. I can not talk about this enough. Just incredible. I will be smiling for a good week because of this show alone. And if you haven't, check out "Make Some Noise". If you dig classic funk, if you dig current hip-hop (think more of the Roots than the hardcore crap), if you dig rock, if you dig jazz......YOU WILL DIG LIQUID SOUL!!!!!! |

Still listening to "Band Overboard" by The Outsidemen (Mike Miller, guitar, Ralph Humphrey, drums, Jim Lacefield, bass) during my daily workout.
You need a miner's helmet with a flashlight to dig the depth of the groove these guys are laying down. And Mike Miller's guitar playing? Off the ****ing chain, man! |

I believe it was called Wonderfulness or something like that....I heard it was very good, like most early Cos...really, I only am familiar with Revenge and To Russell, My Brother, Whom I Slept With, both of which are great, great records. I plan on checking out the one you mention and Why Is Their Air? (I think that's the title anyways) in the future. I would highly recommend Revenge if you can find it....nobody tells kid stories like the early Cos. That CD has aged far better (and continues to be better) than most stand up job CD's around today and the whole family can listen to it.......no mean feat that since when was the last time anyone could say a comedy album was truly funny but 100% clean with a straight face? Cos pulled it off on a regular basis....no one has been able to do it since. |

Try holding down your left SHIFT key when you insert the CD, this disables the autoplay crap on discs in windows. |
