I"ve been listening to alot of megadeth & pink floyd the past week.

Megadeth is bad ass. Probably the only band from it's era that's still metal.

In my player now:

Eminem - Encore
Fabolous - Real Talk
Eazy-E - It's On 187 (Dr. Dre) Killa

The new Eminem CD (Encore) leaked a few days ago, but it's really not that good. The new Fabolous (Real Talk) is not bad, a lot of great beats, and his single "G.A.N.G.S.T.A" is the jam right about now. And of course, the Eazy-E CD is a classic. West Coast at it's finest.

The Eminem CD, on further inspection, sucks. At first it was cool because it was brand new Eminem music, but after listening to it a few times, I'm glad I burned it. I enjoy Fab's CD though. There are some soft tracks, but I think it's pretty good.. Although I don't know if I'd buy it. My personal fav. song is Gangsta, but I highly enjoy Breathe as well.

What is Royce's new CD called? He's one of Detroit's finest.

its called the M.I.C. Mixtape...(MIC is Make it Count) its sort of like a clip of what his new full length album will be like. its full songs tho and 15 of em. the only complaint i have is there are too many guest appearances by his crew. not many but hes better by himself.

he has that producer Nottz doing most of this album and his next one. hes done songs with 50 Jay z and all the big names. after hearing this album im really excited for his new one.

Ahh sweet, a mix tape. I have way too many of those in my CD case to count. When does his actual album drop?

You nailed this one dead on...I agree with your assessment 100%. It's an amazing CD and would've overshadowed Sgt. Pepper and shook the music world to it's core, if it came out on time...tragic.

Thank you, thank you.

I'm in debt due to some recording stuff I bought, so I really need to stop buying CD's for a month or two. That said, U2's new album comes out in a few weeks, so we'll see how long that lasts.

Recording stuff? I probably should upgrade in that dept. myself....since I have a Tascam cassette 8 track that I'm still playing around with.....when it dies, I'll think about it

Nothing that impressive. Still learning. I have a Digi002 Pro Tools set up on an iMac. I also have 5 SM57 mics and a Beta 52 (I'm a drummer).

OK, is it just me or is the guitar riff from the single on that album ("Fall Behind Me") sound eerily similar to the Foo Fighters "Times Like These"?

Page 2?!?! Not while I'm around!

We've talked about Smile....lemme tell you about the legacy edition of The Clash's London Calling

Get it if you don't have it already.....not only do you get the original classic album, but also the Vanilla Tapes, which are very, very cool demos and a DVD of three videos and the ever crazy producer Guy Stevens throwing chairs and ladders around during the recording sessions for the record, amongst other things.....it's great stuff for one of rock's landmark albums...no one should be without it.

Damn Jimmy Eat World. Damn them to hell. They just released a "Deluxe" version of their new album "Futures" with a second CD of the home demo versions of the entire CD. I'm a freak for that sort of thing, so I got it. It's cool to hear how the songs have changed.

So I didn't feel like a complete freak buying a CD I already had, I also bought "Clarity" and "Static Prevails", their first two albums.

You people either don't listen to enough music or you don't post it enough.

Wilco - "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot"
Wilco - "A Ghost Is Born"
Kanye West - "The College Dropout"
