This thread title cracks me up. Yeah, I know it's been here awhile, but it still makes me laugh. Who has CD players anymore?

I also have a couple of old Tascam portastudio recorders (a 4 track and an 8 track) that date from the late 80's/early 90's that are cassette based. You're a musician, so I know you must've run across some of the old Tascams at some point. Used to be a lot of fun to fool around with those things. |

Playing the entire God Is An Astronaut discography today. Love that band. Hogan probably thinks they blow weenuh.

Just like photographers use older cameras to achieve certain stylistic bends in their work, when you are producing music its good to be creative with all elements on the palette.

I pretty much stick to guitar, but I've been working on my mandolin skills lately. Never formally taught myself the bass, but that has been real easy to pick-up and go. I like messing with keys and synths for ****s. That is about where I am at. I've tried drums, but it just ain't me. |

As for drums, there's not a better feeling than getting locked in on the drum kit. |

Man, has this thread ever survived...
Anyway... I'm digging the new stuff from Broken Bells and Flashbulb fires. The new vids from BB are amazing: Flashbulb Fires is an outstanding local band - |
