Morphine: Live in Detroit

- for anyone who missed Sandman and Morphine, you missed one of the most unique and fulfilling embodiments of raw blues and street jazz that have come around in decades.

The slide-bass/double-baritone sax groove is like liquid thunder. These guys built a unique sophisticated blend of blues that really should be treated as one of the more interesting creations of the genre in years.

The Get Out Clause, Manchester stars of CCTV

Many people are uncomfortable with the march of the surveillance state but a Manchester band has used it to their advantage.

They got a video, check this out...

Admittingly, I haven't paid much attention to the BJ Massacre since being disappointed years ago by Strung Out In Heaven....this is so much better than that, it isn't even funny.

Check this out, found some old footage of the brilliant roadshow for National Lampoon's Lemmings....basically a show from 1973 that had a lot of SNL guys in it. It made fun of Woodstock, John Lennon, Bob Dylan, James Taylor and Joe Cocker et. al.

The Bob Dylan parody

The James Taylor paraody

and of course, Belushi's classic Joe Cocker sendup
