![]() It's that time of year again. One of the best sporting events there is. Defending champion Phil Mickelson getting red hot just in time, winning this past week at Redstone (Shell Houston Open). And really, it was the rounds on Saturday and Sunday in which he just put his foot on the gas and flew by everybody. You get the sense he's just been waiting for this time since the start of the season. Sure is going to be a fun time watching this awesome tournament again. Saw some interview footage with Phil and Tiger both answering the question of "throw out stats and world rankings - who's the best golfer in the world right now". Of Course Phil gives his un-egotisical answer that there are maybe a few guys playing so well right now that all of them could be viewed as the best. Tiger's answer "well, when I get my swing back..........wink wink". What chump this guy really is turning out to be. Can't even give these other guys some credit. It's always all about him. In other words, they're not so much as good golfers as much as it is Tiger's in a slump. Get the F over it dude. You're no longer the best player in golf at the MOMENT. You might again get there but that's why there is a world ranking system. And it says you're not #1, not #2, and so on. You're #7. Last edited by ZONA; 04-03-2011 at 11:21 PM.. |

I'm certainly excited.
Also somewhat OT but somewhat on topic, I just picked up the new Tiger Woods game on 360, which is centered around making it to the Masters and has the course for the first time ever. It has some new things that take some getting used to, but the game is quality. |

Sbould be a great. I think one of the young guys has a chance.
On Tiger, I don't think he'll be number 1 again unless he begs Harmon to help him again. |

Available in 3D this year!
I am so fired up for this tourney! I like Phil to repeat. Kuchar and Dustin Johnson are my other picks. |

A local (Topeka) boy has qualified for his first Masters. His name is Gary Woodland. If I watch any of the Masters, it will be to see how he does...

When do the tee times come out? As for Tiger, of course he still thinks he is #1. The guy has won more tournaments then 99.9% of the people that have ever played the game. That confidence is why Tiger Woods has been one of the top 2-3 golfers ever. I don't know if he will ever regain his old form, but I wouldn't bet against him.

I'm in the middle of a swing change myself. My weight last fall was 280 and I played at an 8 hc. Doctor's orders I'm now down to about 250 and my goal is to get to 225 but I'm struggling trying to adjust. My hc has shot up to an 11. It's difficult trying to let go of my "Craig Stadler" swing..........

I agree completely on Woods and Harmon. I HATE what Sean Foley is doing to Tiger's swing. The narrow stance and attempt at a more rotary swing eliminates everything that made Tiger dominant, his athleticism. He has been no where near as good since he dumped Harmon, and I think he's going in the wrong direction with Foley. His ego will never allow him to return to Butch, and he'll never be as good without him as he was with him. Tiger's ego has led to a lot of success, but it's done him far more harm in the last 5 years than it has good. His ego got in the way of his relationship with Butch. His ego led him to believe he could get away with his philandering ways. What used to be viewed as endearing confidence now just comes off as disingenuous and hollow because the fact that he's just a scummy douche has been laid bare for the world to see. His ego and image no longer scares anyone on tour, but Tiger continues to think it does, and it just makes him look like more of a tool. |
