Default Favourite songs written before 1965

That is the criteria. Post as many as you want. Sadly my NY life doesn't involve many older folks so I'd love to hear the tastes of our wiser maners.

Classic baby! Actually this song is written in 1947, done by many, but this version is actually considered by many musicians to be one of the first examples of Rock N Roll. Elvis. Please don't be racist!

You snuck it in there. I was born in 84 so I think the first time I heard that was in that movie "My Girl". Either that or "The Big Chill" soundtrack.

I had the full intention of disputing this 1965 thing but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I got laid for the first time in 65, Had a chevy II that ran 11.12 at old Irwindale drags, got my first Dewey Weber surfboard in 65, I could go on and on, but all I can remember BEFORE 65 was shoveling snow in Upsate New York.
