Ok the hair directly above is a bit much (both are pshopped)... but I think it's just an American thing to expect that every guy has short hair. In fact whenever I have friends come over from Europe one of the first things they notice is that everyone has short hair. That is weird to them.

Personally I'm weirded out by the fact that a lot of people are discouraged from being skinny (even the American nerd is now fat).

I'm not sure what happened between 1980 and now but all of a sudden people are hyper sensitive about their own masculinity in this country and the long hair is too much of a risk.

Tom Brady can't dance for **** btw.

For me its not just the longish hair. Its the style and the awkward feminine hopping + clapping.
