McShay (paraphrased): "Dareus is a better 1st and 2nd down player, his size and speed make him impressive."

I have been leaning more toward Dareus just because Fairley was so light(for the position) at the combine. |

It's not on my front page. ESPN changes their front page multiple times a day and also customizes for various regions and users. What is anyone who wants to read your article supposed to do the minute they replace it on the homepage, which clearly they already have? Would it have killed you to link to the actual article?
But I should have expected you to not be able to figure that out. Last edited by bowtown; 03-01-2011 at 02:33 PM.. |

Oh you mean the little window that doesn't say anything about the quote you posted, including any of the prospect's or author's names? Yes, I should obv just have assumed that on the board of ESPN vomit that the little window about 40 yard dashes being overrated was what you wanted me to click on. Makes perfect sense. You really are king of the interwebz.

Quotable: “I think I can bring a lot of good things to the team. You can get a pass-rushing defensive end, a humble guy, a guy with great character, a guy who is going to work hard, a guy that is going to go about things the right way and a guy who is willing to compete with anyone anywhere.” -- Bowers Quotable: “I look at it like, if you go back in the history of watching football, before the game was started, it started up front. Some people were scared and backed up off the ball, but the real bulls stayed up front and played the game." -- Dareus Quotable: “First and foremost, I’m going to be a great teammate. I’m a team guy. That’s how I play football. That’s how we were able to win the games that we won at Texas A&M. We didn’t have all the talent in the world, but we had a great team. We had great chemistry in the locker room. I’ll be a rookie, whatever those guys want me to do, I’ll be happy to do it. Just find my way, find my role. Whatever it takes to get on the field, that’s what I’ll do.” -- Miller Last edited by epicSocialism4tw; 03-01-2011 at 03:09 PM.. |

A great experiment would be to make these guys make draft boards without reading anyone elses stuff. Really they are like us. They scour internet, read, read, read. Then we say i like this guy, he seems smart, his draft board better then Kiper, that guy dumb etc etc.
Only the scouts and GMS really know what is going on. Even the scouts though will admit they only really know there area. They scout certain teams and go over every play etc etc. My brother knows a write he went to school with. He writes freelance sports stuff for diving and motorcycle riding. He's never ridden, and dove twice. He's just a good writer, scours internet and does research, talks to people who know, writes article, sells article. Meanwhile some guy who knows more about riding or diving then him is reading it and thinking he's learning from an expert. It's funny sort of. |

Dareus was the guy I wanted early in yr, but then they started selling me on Peterson. I won't be happy with either until they make plays for Denver.
I ain't gonna say it. Because I am sick of the Jinx. But being a first round pick in Denver, or a high priced FA, sometimes should come with an insurance policy. |
