In NYC the American crowd tends to eat earlier (7 to 8) and the euro / Latin crowd later (830 to 10) but most restaurants close at 11 here.

In Berlin you can go to dinner at 1 am and it's packed. You won't head to a club until 3.

Indian families tend to eat dinner at 10. My New Jersey girlfriend still has trouble dealing with the fact that I prefer to eat dinner after 9.
Same here with dinner. If you want to have a steak at 1 am there's no problem at all. And a lot of people arrive at clubs as late as 4 am. I've never been into that (or into clubs at all) but it's pretty common.

Dinner at 16:30 is... pretty damn weird to me. I usually eat at around 22:30.

What time do you eat breakfast and lunch? 9:00 and 14:00?

It all depends, on workdays I eat breakfast at 6:30... lunch at around 14:00 (with a coffee and snack somewhere in between) then "merienda" (afternoon meal) at 18:00/18:80 and dinner at 22:00/23:00.

That all goes to hell when I'm not working. I might eat breakfast at 11:00, lunch at 15:30 (like today) and dinner as late as 23:30. (I usually go to bed at 4 am on these nights)

Even though I'm up at 6 am I don't go to bed till midnight so I can't imagine having dinner at 16:30!!!!! 9 pm and that's pretty early for me!

Oh well ****, you're just eating 4 meals. I eat at 1 pm, 6 pm and 11 pm, too (I skip breakfast most days). So you guys just eat like college students. What we call "dinner", you call "merienda". and what we call "4th meal", you call "dinner"
See? We're not different after all...

So you eat after dinner? Like a midnight snack? If you eat dinner so early, I guess it makes sense unless you go to bed at 21:30.

Well ok, someone in their 20s like me may be a bad example.

Family of 4:
Wake up-7:00am
Breakfast-7:30am
Lunch-12:00pm
Dinner-6:00pm
Bed-9:00pm (maybe parents eat after that, I don't know what parents do)

A 22 year old college student:
Wake up-10:00am
Breakfast-none
Lunch-12:00pm
Dinner-6:00pm
4th meal-11:00pm
Bed-1:00am

I think you can judge a woman if she is marriage material just by the first few dates if you are looking for a more frugal women instead of a money hungry beatch. One of the top things I love about my wife is she is money responsible and would rather invest for the future (like our land, cabin and condo purchases) then the cool purse of the year.

(Yes, my opinion/thoughts from when I was single.)
I personally wouldn't advice a guy to do lunch for the first date. Not because there is pretty much no chance of sex, but it pretty much says "lets be friends." Female friends of mine told me that's what they think of lunch for the first date. A guy should totally impress a woman on the first date (that doesn't mean spending a lot of money.) Get dressed and take her somewhere really nice. Women like that type of stuff. And lunch has a time constraint. After lunch you're kind of done. Time to part ways. Going out at night gets rid of that type of time constraint and gives you more time to get to know each other.

The NBA dunk contest grinds my gears. If these guys would hit their dunks on the first attempt it would be awesome. It sucks watching them do it over and over. When they finally hit it the payoff isn't all that great.

I'll tell you what parents do, they try to get their kids into bed as soon as possible so they can get some time to actually feel like adults again. Oh yeah, and after you go to bed dear old Dad is hoping that he can get some for the first time in weeks!

I tell the woman on our dates that I have a price point. Coffee is a handjob, a meal is a bj and a nice meal is the works. I let her choose. I'm a gentlemen that way.

Chivalry is very manly actually. That's what separates us from the animals. And by animals, I mean of course, the ladies.
