No surprise there. They of course won't actually put anything in place until after the new CBA, but that won't stop a total board meltdown when they haven't resigned him by next week now.

Being with how influential Bowlen is in owners circles, could we take this as a small shred of optimism regarding the CBA. Like maybe Bowlen thinks it will get done.

Fox loves to have two really good corners. He uses that to set up a lot of what he does. Also, the new DC is a former secondary coach. I wouldn't close the book on Peterson yet.

no but I would rather roll with Bailey, Goodman, and another FA (Cox can't be counted on) and focus the first 3 picks on DL, DL, LB/S.

I want him to stay I really do... however the man should get a super bowl ring he has earned it and if we are just going to keep rebuliding we should let him go and find another team and win one....

The money represents nothing more than a commitment to the player for just the upcoming season only, which Bailey would be highly unlikely to accept in its current form on the brink of free agency given the lack of security provided beyond the first year of the contract."

I absolutley hate this defeatist martyr crap. Champ should stay with the Broncos and help us win 3 Superbowls in a row. He will make plenty of money whether it's here or somewhere else. If he wants to be here, it's because he wants to be here.
