Good call on Mr Brooks. That movie was so good even Dane Cook couldn't ruin it.

I went into that movie kicking and screaming. It was my wife's turn to pick. I thought she was trying to kill me with a Costner movie.

The Station Agent is one of my all time fav movies. 2003 i think. I think Slimdog Millionare is amazing too, though i know that gets some hate for no other reason than it was popular. Anything Danny Boyle does is pretty dang good.

Before Judd Apatow started delivering his masterpieces, Wedding Crashers was probably the funniest movie I saw in the 00s.

Also adding Serenity.

I would go with The Departed as the best movie of the decade. So good, that even princess Leo couldnt screw it up.

I thought the Departed and No Country for old men were two of the worst movies I've ever seen. Maybe I just didn't "get it" but a movie where everyone just dies or kills one another seems pretty shallow and boring. I could write script like that. Bad guy 1 is crazy, he kills everyone in the movie, the end.

I did really enjoy True Grit though.

Dark Knight
LOTR series.
Wall-E
Gran Torino
Serenity
HP movies
Slumdog Millionaire
Wanted
Mysitc River
RED
Little Miss sunshine
Shutter Island
Bourne Series
Knocked up
Get Him to the Greek

probably way more that I'm forgetting.

I guess The Matrix came out in 1999, and just missed the list, but that was the most brilliant movie I have ever seen. It satisfies on so many levels. I was taking a philosophy class in college at the time, and we literally did a philosophical analysis of the movie for like a month. It's a brilliant work. Way too brilliant to be a movie. Evidently the story was ripped from a philosopher by the Wachowskis (or so our prof told us)...he only wrote the one story...thats why the following two movies didnt have the same power as the first. They werent written by the same guy.
